Scared for job interview - Show me Muffin and Fluttershy

On Tuesday Feb 4th, I have a job interview working for a hotel as a housekeeper... This is my 3rd interview I have ever had in my life and it is making me nervous and scared if I fail it... I was wondering if you folks could show me and Fluttershy ponies to help me settle.

They both symbolize bravery in my opinion, since doesn't care what others think of her and Fluttershy does what is right, even if it scares her.

Well, I think everything went well. I was apparently the calmest person they saw today and I impressed one of the 4 people interviewing me with the knowledge I knew of the position so much she asked "Are you sure you have never worked in housekeeping before?"

They are doing call-backs on Thursday so I may be expecting a call from them.

Well... It turns out that the hotel changed their minds about hiring new housekeeping staff. They called me tonight about it and I had to hold back my tears on the phone with them. They said they would keep my resume on file, which is the international sign for "We don't want you. Don't call us, we'll call you."

I tried for almost 3 years to find work and tried so hard to build up the courage to have a good interview... And it's all to waste.

It's not a waste, though, trust me! It sounds like the interview really helped your confidence. Keep trying!

Don't give up :hugs: interviews are always scary. I was a manager and interviewed tons of people in my job but I'd still be a nervous wreck going to a job interview. Just keep at it and you'll find a great job. Just think of your previous interviews as practice

Oh I am so sorry. Something will come along; at least for the next time you should be more comfortable with the process.

I would say keeping a resume on file is not necessarily a "go away" decision. I keep CVs from previous applicants on jobs if I like them but was just unable to offer them something at the time and when advertising a post I have often sent emails out to good previous applicants in case they were still interested. So you never know.
