I want this pony really bad! :cry: but I went to my most reliable source of ponies (Super Target) to see if they had her, and she wasn't there! :( only the newest alicorn 2 pack with Twilight Sparkle / Applejack and Cadance / Rainbow Dash (vice versa). I want to know has anybody seen Sunset Shimmer in stores? If so, which store? (In Texas would be nice, but anywhere else is welcome too). I just wanna make sure its just my home state being lame when it comes to getting new ponies in :mad:
P.S. Although I could buy her loose from Ebay, I prefer to have the backcard story along with her, plus I don't wish to spend $15 on a G4 pony that's out already while I can just pay around $5 :/
Anyways, PLEASE lemme know if Sunset Shimmer has been spotted in stores!

I got mine on the Hasbro website. I have not seen them in the stores yet either. I did pick up an extra one in case it is a limited release. Hold out a bit longer. Maybe we can work something out later if not. I miss SuperTarget. We had them in San Antonio when I lived there but Ohio doesn't.
I am having the problem of my Target not getting the two new princess sets. That's what I want.

I saw a video of a kid and her mom looking for dolls, and they found Sunset Shimmer in New Jersey.

I heard about Sunset Shimmer being sold in Toys R Us in Florida,so maybe she's at a TRU near you? If not,she's on Hasbro's Toy Shop but is currently out of stock,not sure how long they take to restock though.

I got mine from my local TRU (central Texas). But I wouldn't worry. If your area is like my area, they will show up at Walmart/Target a little later than they will elsewhere and then next thing you know they will be everywhere.

Nothing here yet that I've seen.....been checking my targets and nada so went to TRU yesterday on my errand route and nada either. No one has stocked the masked ponies yet and and the previous wave is just sittin on the shelf because they aren't getting purchased :|

I found her at Toys R Us in Tuscaloosa. I got the two that were there but I don't think they've ever restocked her. I also checked the Toys R Us here but no luck. It's rather weird...

Walmart and Target are doing inventory right now so they are only ordering what is necessary. As soon as they are done the stores should be loaded with ponies.

It could be your local stores have simply not reached her wave of playful pony as yet. What type of singles are available in your store? That will tell you whether she is either been in stock and sold or if your story hasnt carried her yet.

Just found her at Kmart. Harlem and Irving Park rd by the HIP in Illinois. They had two of her left and a bunch of Rarity/Rainbow/Pinkie.

My Tru still has their buy one get 40% off the other sale going. I think they're just trying to get rid of the old stock before putting out the new.
My Target is empty of ponies. :(
Walmart is still fully stocked with the last wave, so I don't see them putting anything new out soon.

She's out in Singapore since early May, and she is a regular retail release that is NOT exclusive to TRU or any specific store here :)
The wave 2 Princess 2-packs with Alicorn Twilight Sparkle and Princess Cadence are also available here, though I think the dark pink on Princess Cadence makes her look very sunburnt or seem that she plasticized already :P

I think they skipped a wave because the new double packs are availabe here...

that's good to hear, because when I asked my Kmart about the empty pegs (have been empty for months) they said "Oh, those are discontinued." :blink: But then again their labels (on the pegs) said "MY LITTLE PONT". So yeah, they should be discontinued!

Just picked her up at TRU, beware though I saw a bunch at a different TRU and there was flaw on her back right above the cutie mark, didn't get a pic but all them had it. The one I just found today was clean, so have a close look before you buy.
Also used the 20% off coupon so it was 5 something rather than 6.99.

I saw her at TRU in Salem New Hampshire this morning. It's the first time I've seen her in stores, so I'm imagining she will be heavily distributed when Equestria Girls comes to theaters.

No Sunset Shimmer here in Mid-Michigan yet but I have been looking. Also no sign of Funrise Rarity (except the small one) or Funrise Applejack. We only just recently got Princess Twilight Sparkle and Princess Cadance 2-packs and design-a-pony Princess Luna.

The toy dept. is so empty right now except for seasonal summer toys and it seems the same few ponies (brushable Pinkie, Fluttershy and Twilight and the styling princesses) have been on the pegs for months. Heck there's even shelves in the toy section that are empty and have nothing on them and no labels for product.

Yes she's released. I got her in Bellevue, WA Toys'R'Us. They jacked up the price though. Single ponies used to be $5 and now they want $6.30. It's like daylight robbery!!!! In fact prices for everything went up, except the NIghtmare Moon special pack. Ironically, price went down for that one from $48 to $45. I should have bought the mini Cottonbelle hard-face plushie when it was only $14, now it's more like $16.

I say no matter whether you have found her or EQG yet or not...I would not worry too much about it yet. Both of them are mass market items with an incredibly wide release and I am sure one or more of your local stores will carry them soon enough. Or if you are stuck, post in wanted and I am sure you will find an Arena member happy enough to help you out.

At Target, they have scanners that you can type in their DPCI and see if they are in the backroom. The DPCI for the 2-pack is 086-02-1787.

I'm pretty sure that's a playful size, but boy is she nice! I hope it's for real and not a custom. The way the flames are the same on both the front and back legs (and don't seem to be on the non-display side, like the cutie mark) makes me want to hope it's for real. I'm sure if she is, she'll be sold in a set since they've already released her plain single. Hmmm....

I have her, the original release of her. Love her to death, I tried so hard to get her. Bought her off Amazon, they lost my package. Looked for her in all the local stores with ponies, not there. Finally on a trip to Washington I managed to find her and the new neon wave of blind bags and snapped them up. xD Funny how things work.
I LOVE that version with the flaming fade, but the sparkley makeup really sets it off for me. Totally would've bought another one just for the fade, but I don't like makeup on ponies...

Just bought her today at ASDA in Southgate for £3.50. :) She is really pretty. :inlove: There were two on the shelf and I bought one. Lots of Rarity left and one Rainbow Dash. Rarity is not popular in my area, poor thing!
That flame fade version is pretty neat! :biggrin: I'm running out of space but I may get her depending on how she's released. :P
I saw this purple-tinselled version of her on Taobao. This could be a test run like the multi-coloured tinselled Applejacks we saw a while back.

Posting this in the hopes someone sees this...at the fair, the vendor I bought the fim collectors set from wanted to trade me a pony for sunset shimmer but I can't remember their name :( if not I guess I have one I'd like to trade! Found her at the shelbyville, IN Walmart.

Well...its now been confirmed that the next wave of Playful ponies...the set coming with AJ and Fluttershy and their little masks...
Yup...you guessed it...its got Sunset Shimmer in it again. I guess she really is looking like a TS replacement - so she is really not going to be that hard to find even if she is not on your shelves now as soon as stores pick up the next wave she will be back.

Saw 3 of them at a TRU store by my house , 6.99 plus tax , i did not get them ! I had bought them earlier on the Hasbro site for 4.99 plus shipping and tax :)! But they have not re stocke them since then . :( I saw them also at a site called TGI for 5.99 the cool thing is that there was no tax and free shipping options on orders like Hasbro site

I live in Toronto and I haven't found her yet :( I went to a TRU near American side of Niagara and they had all the masked ponies except Sunset Shimmer!! I was so angry because that kind of thing would only happen to me XD I should have asked if they had more in the back but I was too shy /sigh
Ya, that happens to me to the majority of the time while I'm out hunting for my "prey" :lol: I always expect them to be in the most popular place....someplace where I just KNOW they'll have it, but I show up and BOOM! nada :/
I know they could have some in back...but i'm just to afraid to ask >_<

I just found mine at Family Dollar! She hasn't shown up anywhere else in my area. There were 3 of her.

Finally showed up in TRU and Target in my area and its not just Sunset, Its all of the cores not sure if AJ was there though I wasn't really thorough when I looked.. not planning on getting any just for masks sakes, just glad to have Sunset Shimmer bought back awhile ago.

The luchador mask line is Sunset Shimmer, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity.
Any Applejack, Fluttershy, or Twilight Sparkle you find will be older waves without masks. Unless they have masks and are something we haven't seen yet!

All 5 of "mane 6" minus Twilight Sparkle of course [as she is only coming in the larger size from now on]. So Wave 12 is Dash, Pinkie, Rarity and Sunset Shimmer again plus Applejack and Fluttershy added.

There were 2 of her and Pinkie with the mask. So there's another store you might want to check (meanwhile Hasbro's shop says she won't be avalable again til' October :wacko: ).
I also found this little book. It's pages are a type of laminated posterboard that's about 1/8" thick. Everything that should be pink on the front cover is a metallic dark pink. It just has short descriptions of the mane 6.
They also got in some MLP nail polish and false fingernail sets for kids.

I found her at Target a few days ago along with Black-Tie and glittery exclusive Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash Equestria girls (ewww...) and the giant Princess Twilight Sparkle.

My Dollar General store has a couple of Sunset Shimmer ponies for $5.50. I haven't seen real MLP's there in a long time!

Well, the box those came in had at least one Sunset Shimmer, so she already is in your stores (for at least a moment).

no they were brushables. we dont really get any other kind here. Impact Comics in Civic is one of the only places that get BBs

Unfortunately that will happen in some assortments. I've not seen any flawed Sunsets at Target, but out of all of the Wysterias we got in, I nabbed the only one that didn't have a scuff or paint mistake in her eyes. Look out for a second shipment, that would be my suggestion.

My local wal mart has not gotten her in yet. But they are getting ready for the new shipment of toys. They got some new ponies in. I would think that she would start showing up in more places now :)

Also, I would assume that she'd start popping out more now that the Equestria Girls DVD was just released. I've seen the DVD on multiple occasions now so hopefully Sunset Shimmer will be making her way up here too! XD

I picked her up about two weeks ago at one of my local Dollar Generals. Last place I expected to find her; I've never seen her at Walmart or Target.
Anyway, if any of you looking for her have a Dollar General, or a Family Dollar, nearby, it might pay off to check there.

I travelled across the border to Niagara Falls, NY today and I finally found her!! Finally!! She was the last one in the Walmart I was in, too! I also got the last Wysteria from Target. I really wanted the Black Tie Pinkie but I can't justify 20 bucks for a pony when I don't even want the purse :/

Just an FYI, the new Crystal ponies are coming in mixed with the Masquerade ones at TRU. Not sure if they are shipping that way, BUT TRU numbering system has them as the same wave so they are mixed together on the pegs. Found em at both TRU and Target.

What do you mean by "the new Crystal ponies"? Do you mean "new stock of the old Wave 10 crystal ponies (http://cat352.wix.com/mlparena#!playful---wave-6-to-/cdp1)"? I haven't seen anything about any new crystal ponies being in the works (Wave 12 (http://cat352.wix.com/mlparena#!playful---wave-11-to-12/cyqf) is supposed to be more masked ponies).
And what "TRU number system"? I thought they just stuck them all on the peg together regardless of what wave they were.

I caved and bought the last one in Sheffield's John Lewis yesterday. :P But, her hair is odd...the tail hair is dry and unmanageable right out of the package and the red in the tail actually looks a different colour to the red in the mane, particularly when wet. I've tried intensive conditioners, leave-in sprays, hot and cold water but it's still just sort of...flopping there straw-like. Anyone else have an issue? If so, how did you solve it?

FINALLY found her at a Super Target I don't usually visit on the way home from an appointment last week. My 3.5 year old and I both gasped when we saw her on the shelf, we'd pretty much given up on finding her in a store!

I grabbed one today at my local Walmart...and she had a big black mark on her face under the mask :( Luckily it mostly came off with the magic eraser :)
