So I just dropped a good amount of money on this Star Hopper. Her hair was a little messy, so I washed and conditioned it. With conditioner in, I combed through it and the hair just began to fall apart. It was practically disintegrating in my hands. I have never seen pony hair do this. Even after the hair had dried again, the tail especially continued fall apart. Here is how much of the tail was left before I decided to cut it all off because it was shedding everywhere. I didn't want or plan to rehair this pony, but she's getting a rehair now. Has anyone else experienced such a thing? I am looking to get a light/baby yellow similar to DollyHair's Lemonade, if not that exact color. These are the colors I have for trade. They are all Nylon pony hanks from Dollyhair. You are welcome to offer up other colors and I'll take a look. You are also welcome to purchase them for $3.50 each. Alternate Rehairs: I like to give old G1s a second chance at life. I look for ponies where the bodies are still very nice, but the hair is either missing or very damaged and I give them brand new beautiful hair. As such, the bodies will not be perfect, but they will have only one or two little flaws. Please ask any questions about flaws before purchase if that is something you're picky about as a collector. Hi everyone,
It's been a while since I've been here. Real life got in the way for a long time, but I've been getting the pony fever lately. And it's a nice peaceful feeling. I just want to bask in the pony love again for a time and see what the fandom has been up to lately.
Edit: I am happy to see pics of alternate rehairs. I remember a time when I was more active on this forum there were some of us just wild about those and posting about them fairly often. I'm still wild about those and I'm happy to see them around.

Since it's the year of the horse, I want to try and draw some pony pics this year of some of my favorite girls. Locket was a toy I had since a little girl and I have fond memories of her. My locket had a nasty mold infection that went into her ratty hair so I cleaned her up and rehaired her in these colors because while I loved her, I'd always hated that orange. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I hope I'm putting this in the right place. I thought there was once a doll exclusive sales section, but maybe I was wrong. I have Mae Tallick for sale. She is complete, in like new condition, voice box works, hair undamaged. She is difficult to put in her stand, as is common of this doll. I've got a G1 with a very stubborn head that I'm trying to remove. I really don't want to cut out the plug. I love keeping the plug in tact so the head can always be removed.
Any suggestions to get the head off safely?
