Alex Rose in the KC area has passed away. info?

I just heard that someone who went by Alex Rose passed away and I've been selling my collection locally, in the KC area, for decades.  I'm just wondering if it is someone I connected with in my area and if I should go buy back my MLP items to ease the burden of the family. 

If you are the person I met in JOCO around 2014 and I surprise gifted you with a G1 crab pearly merpony and we have twin Princess Serenas to commemorate your induction into the community of MLP collecting and customizing and I pointed you to the arena then please let me know.  I'm worried that was Alex Rose at this point.
