Ah, Synergy  Yes, that one might also break my resolve. I always loved Synergy. I was always mad that Kimber didn't invite her to her (non)wedding...they took her for granted as a machine on far too many occasions.
I also love Stormer, Ponyfan  But I love all of the Misfits.
Chara-babble in spoilers
Spoiler They're layered characters whose motivations have roots, and whose negative actions are easier to understand. As opposed to Jerrica's which involved her cheating on her boyfriend with herself (or her other self)...stealing earrings from a museum because they looked like hers, running off with Riot for no reason and trying to kill Pizzazz at least twice using Synergy. Among many other things. Goodness knows what she taught kids xD. And don't get me start on "kick-the-plant" Rio.
I remember how I was so much on Jem's side after seeing Truly Outrageous, then I was able to watch the whole series and by the end I hated her so much *lol*. I've never been a fan of hypocrisy. At least with the Misfits, you knew where you stood. And when they displayed positive traits alongside the chaos, they came over as flawed humans rather than monsters.
I was always fond of Aja, Shana, Kimber and Raya as well, though.
Spoiler I had 4 episodes on VHS so it wasn't until I was an adult I saw all of the episodes. I saw some other episodes besides the ones I had though, because I could remember a scene or two from different episodes.
Some stuff really surprised me the first time I saw it. Especially the fact that at first, Rio tried to tell Jem that he already had a girlfriend and wasn't interested, but Jerrica as Jem kept insisting Rio hold her, kiss her etc... telling him "Jerrica will understand."
I feel like going off with Riot made no sense.
Also, the episode in Greece where Jerrica made another hologram persona (Jamie I think) to try to test Rio because she felt like he would go out with anyone. Rio was attracted to that persona as well so the writers tried to explain it as Rio being attracted to the real Jerrica even through Synergy's holograms.
I don't think I've seen perfect hair on any of these dolls yet. I have seen a few on Youtube though. Ponyfan

My grandma told me about the watermelon seed, but I don't remember if I ever believed it.
When my dad tried to swat/kill a fly and missed he'd always say "They're dangerous when wounded." I remember being scared of flies when he missed them for a long time because of that. I really thought they were something to be afraid of.
I barely remember it, but someone told me a unicorn would show up at my house if I really good/had a pure heart, something like that. I told my mom about it and she told me that wasn't going to happen.
My dad remembers believing that if he set a ball of something on fire and threw in the air it would stay suspended and create a little planet filled with tiny people.

Hobby Lobby is putting most diamond paintings by outside companies like Diamond Art Club and Leisure Arts on clearance. Some of the prices are pretty cheap compared to the original. One painting that was $36 was on sale for $9.
Make sure if you take advantage of the sale that the ones you pick have a clearance sticker. My mom picked out one that didn't and when we got to the register the cashier said that one wasn't on clearance because it didn't have a sticker on it.
I've heard Dollar Tree also has new ones, but haven't been able to check yet.

I'm surprised that they're doing Glitter and Gold Jem so soon too. Pizzazz makes sense since they started with Jem, but I was hoping for Kimber or Synergy after Jem. Stromer's my favorite Misfit, but I think the show did a good job at certain times explaining why Pizzazz acted like she did. If you haven't found the new Jem doll yet, don't give up. Last week two Walmart stores were out and had put the Carmen Sandiego doll in it's place. Today I saw at least six Jem dolls. I did get one. If I think about her just being Jem and not trying to be both Jem and Jerrica and, it's easier to like the doll. Ponyfan

I love seeing everyone's updates about their plants. The weather is still a little unpredictable here to put plants outside. The lucky bamboo is doing good. The basil is still alive. Part of the ficus is dead, but the part that's still alive has put out a bunch of new leaves. The aloes are doing great. I thought the sage was dead as it wasn't growing at all for several months so I got rid of it. Then I found out that sage does dormant.  I still don't know if the thyme is alive. I also have doubt about the mints, but one of them has a tiny green leaf. I'm hoping to get some new plants once the last freeze has passed. We still have nights in the 30's and 40's. Ponyfan

I'm going with Applejack. Something about her being that deep shade of red really sets her apart from most of the other G3 ponies. I have and Moondancer, but none of the accesories.

Thanks Taffeta. If you're not expecting Jerrica's clothes to be included with this Jem doll, it's easy to miss since they're packaged in the very back behind Jem. I'm still on the fence about this doll. I feel like the whole Jerrica switch either wasn't fully planned or was a last minute afterthought. It's almost like someone said "Wait a minute, the original Jem doll was both Jem and Jerrica, so we need to include Jerrica in some way since we're basing this off the original dolls. Let's include Jerrica's outfit and call it done." There were a few times Jerrica had pink hair when she wasn't supposed to due to animation errors, but ideally Jerrica's hair should always be blonde. It's so baffling how a major company could not be bothered to include Jerrica's blonde hair in some way either with a separate wig or attached to Jerrica's hat especially since they are promoting that she can switch between Jem and Jerrica. I watched part of a Youtube review on this doll because I was curious about the theme song the stand plays. I was hoping it would be "Truly Outrageous" and not "Me and My Friends are Jem Girls." It plays the first few lines of "Truly Outrageous" There's a rumor that there might be more dolls in the line too. Ponyfan

I saw 2 of these today. One of the boxes had been partially opened(or someone tried to open it and gave up) and the other doll looked okay, but all the accessories were in different places than the one that had been tampered with so I wasn't sure if both dolls had been opened or if only one had since there were no other dolls to compare too. I know the accessories being in different places could be a packaging error, but I would have to see more than 2 dolls to find out for sure. I never had any Jem dolls so I'm assuming the text about "On the stage, she's Jem, off she's Jerrica, manager of Starlight Music" comes from the original Jem/Jerrica's box. The doll seems a lot heavier than Barbie or other dolls. I want to like this doll, but I can't understand why they would go through the trouble of including Jerrica's outfit and saying she can switch between Jem and Jerrica when she can't fully complete the change since the blonde hair is missing for Jerrica. I'm assuming it's either a mistake or an oversight, but then the part about turning the doll in to Jerrica should have been left off the box since it's a little misleading. I was telling my mom about this doll and she said "So Jem and Jerrica are the same person?"  Ponyfan

Hi, I don't have pics yet, but Walmart has a kids swimsuit featuring Blossom, Firefly, Medley, Starshine, Skydancer and Minty. They also have a very small diamond art painting featuring Starshine in the Crafts section.. Ponyfan

I had to upgrade my Netflix in the fall, because I was still on the Basic plan that didn't have commercials and Netflix was going to downgrade me to a plan with commercials' if I didn't change it. Now, Netflix is increasing the price of my new plan.
Also, I hate how hard it is to find most Blu Ray physical releases in stores. I know companies are pushing streaming, but I still want real copies of things.
