It's been quite a long time since I was last a seller rather than a buyer, so while I do know which ponies are more valuable and/or sought after than others, and I do know that most of the ponies I have available are pretty common, I'm still a little clueless on how we price accurately these days. I am planning to sell/trade here before trying Ebay, but I'm going to be away for almost two weeks so I won't be putting up a post in the for sale forum until October 21/22nd. (although if you are interested in any of these ponies, still feel free to drop a message in the meantime!) excuse the lack of pictures, I'll include as many pictures as possible in my sales post, but anyway, I need price checks on; (these are all in varying conditions from very good to in need of some tlc, but I have a separate list for baity ponies) Brilliant Blossoms (carousel pony): 3 small penmarks that have faded after a spa day, very slight scratches to eyepaint TaF Milky way: all her stars are still visible but a good amount of glitter has been rubbed off, particularly on her non display side, small age spot on her horn Tootsie: mild tail rust and small orange spot above symbol on non display side Applejack: slight grey mark on symbol on display side Bow tie: mild tail rust and head can turn Lickety split: tail rust, fading pink mane and tail faded to white, grey mark to symbol on display side, age spot on non display side Galaxy: some regrind on the head, slight trim to front half of mane Sweet stuff 1: small penmark on display side, slight scratching to twinkle eyes Sweet stuff 2: twinkle eye seems to be sunken into head on non display side Baby Cotton Candy: fading pink mane and tail faded to white, 4 slight penmarks, two on head 2 on non display side body Custom bait ponies: I have a cotton Candy, Peachy, 2 Lemon drops and 3 Majestys who still have their manes, tails and symbols (well, the Cotton Candy has had her mane half cut off so she's sporting a mohawk) a Majesty, Baby Cuddles and two Baby Tiddlywinks with their manes and tails already removed, no symbols on the baby ponies a starshine with no symbols and no tail but a mane still and a 1982 Remco pony for anyone who's interested in fakies and actually I also have a G2 Ivy and 3 G2 mcdonalds ponies for anyone who's interested too thanks in advance for any help on price checking!

I don't use straight acetone for cleaning, but I do use nail polish remover pads for getting glue off during deflocking, and they're really effective for that. wash them off with soap and water afterwards, and I haven't had any problems afterwards, so I wouldn't completely discount acetone, but definitely use with caution

I've been experiencing this error since June, in a way I'm glad that it's not just me!

My princess Tiffany is like this too, but only on one side. I had assumed that maybe all the paint had just rubbed off, though I thought it was odd that it had only happened to one symbol and not the other, but now I'm thinking that maybe it is some sort of manufacturing error after all. weird, huh?

Just got the lovely Princess Tiffany/Pearl, which I'm very happy about I got her cheap because although she's in fairly good condition otherwise, one of her symbols has lost pretty much all of its silver paint completely, while curiously the other one's fine, so your guess is as good as mine as to whatever happened there. her damaged symbol is on her non display side, so I'm not too concerned with making it look *exactly* right if you see what I mean, I'd just like to give it a bit of a repaint for my own benefit. does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of silver paint I need, any specific brands for techniques I should use? this isn't my first pony restoration by a long shot but it is my first time doing repainting work on a pony, so I'm a little nervous haha

One of my grail ponies, I just love her. I feel like she's one of the less popular TaF ponies though?

Hello all, I know I haven't been active on here in quite a while, but I'm back! I've just bought the lovely so soft paradise, which I'm very pleased with since I didn't think I would find her. The main reason I got her for a reasonable price is because her condition is uh, well used. I'm not certain but I feel like her hair is slightly faded? But that's not the issue, her flocking itself isn't absolutely terrible, but it's not great either, with significant rubbing to her wings, neck, hooves and ears, only slightly less so on the rest of her body. And the glue is yellow, like *really* yellow. Apologies in advance for the not great pictures, but she's yellower than she looks on camera. (Go left for the other pictures) https://www.flickr.com/photos/185078305@N04/52506292588/in/dateposted-public/ So I'm leaning towards deflocking her, because I really feel like there's a decent chance of her still being a nice shade of white under all that glue, but on the other hand I have deflocked twice before, and while both times had good results, as you can imagine deflocking is not a task I want to undertake unless I really have to. So what do you all think, deflock or not?

I have her and enjoy her, but if I was going to rank the year 2 unicorns, I'd have to put her at the bottom, which is a shame, because I feel like she's one of the more overlooked of the earlier years ponies.

I voted for dancing butterflies, pillow talk, Merriweather, munchy, milky way and night glider, in no particular order, for the most part. I have both milky way and dancing butterflies, I love how elegant dancing butterflies is and everything about milky way is a win. The rest are grail ponies, especially Merriweather, she's one of the more overlooked of the TaF in my opinion, even though that doesn't stop her from being expensive and hard to find, but I just love her, she's my second favourite. No prizes for guessing who gets the number one spot, though

Etsy can be good sometimes, but it's true that the shipping can be crazy. I generally use eBay, however prices are high now, at least partially because now everyone who's found a peachy or a lemondrop in their attic is convinced that they have a genuine rare my little pony and price accordingly, other people see that and price their ponies accordingly, and prices get driven up. But anyway, despite that eBay can still spit out a reasonably priced pony every now and then, so definitely worth a try.
As for collectors books, there's the mlp collectors manuals by summer Hayes (I have the G1 book, but she's also published manuals on G2 and G3) which are useful for keeping track of sets of ponies and can give you a general idea of which ponies are more valuable than others but bear in mind that 1.) Only ponies who were sold in the US are included, and 2.) The G1 book at least was published back when G3 was still in stores, so the prices are somewhat out of date at this point.

Yeah I know it's not a very good picture sorry, but it's kind of a reddish pink, so I'd say that it's princess silver swirls comb. I'm not a g2 collector at all, but obviously I'll hold onto it for now, unless any g2 collectors on here are missing a comb. Anyway, thanks for the help!

So I recently got a baby moondancer, which I'm really happy about, and the seller sent this along with her. I think it's a hair pick. https://www.flickr.com/photos/185078305@N04/51846913812/in/dateposted-public/I know that it's not baby moondancers, and while I think it may belong to a princess pony, I'm not at all sure. Could anyone tell me if this is a my little pony hair pick for certain, and if it is, which pony it belongs to?

I go by specific sets of ponies. I usually have two or three different sets I'm trying to complete at any one time, so if I'm struggling to find any of one I can switch focus to another for a while. For example, I've been trying to complete the first set of TaF ponies, and I only need sweet tooth now, but I'm getting a bit fed up of not being able to find her for a reasonable price, so I've switched focus to the candy cane ponies (only have two out of six) and the first baby ponies. (Still looking for baby glory and baby firefly)
