Pony Corral / Re: What would your G6 look like?

First, I'd like them to look horsier again...(cut)
All of your points are excellent, but I think this nails it! G2 I think gets away with their lankier ponies, and G4 is still cute, but G5 I feel takes too much from G4 and not enough from actual horses. Would love to see some brushable ponies with big horse faces again!

Right. If they had longer, less rounded faces, that itself would've been a big improvement. Their bodies are fine in my opinion, but their bodies combined with their faces I believe was an odd choice. G4 alicorns had a decent balance. If they went with something a little closer to that, I'd be all for it.

First, I'd like them to look horsier again; they haven't since G3.5, although G5 was a step in the right direction with those horsier bodies. It's just a shame that their heads look rather humanoid.

Second, I want more variety in the toyline. Far more characters, species, poses, and gimmicks. Go back to G1's level of variety if possible.

Third, going back to consistent, good quality. G5 is mixed in this area; some are high quality, and others are terrible quality. Consistently nice quality would be nice, minus maybe some discount ponies. G3 did that as well and it worked fine.

Forth, taking some inspiration from G4's and G1's primary shows, Friendship is Magic and My Little Pony 'N' Friends and its specials, but with its own charm and feel. I do agree that a fairly cottagecore feel to it would make sense now, but I would like a nice amount of adventure as well. It needs enough episodes to properly flesh out the characters and stories as well, and sticking to just one show for major developments. (I wouldn't mind a side-show for more slice of life and less plot-relevant elements.) An issue with Make Your Mark is how few episodes it got, and it was continued through Tell Your Tale, which is a totally different show that isn't going to appeal to everybody who enjoys Make Your Mark.

My Little Pony is first and foremost a toy franchise, so it's understandable if the show isn't nearly as ambitious, but it's a nice thought. Hopefully, it wouldn't hurt the sales of non-main characters, though. I suspect that that's what happened with G4. However, hopefully, if the toys stand by themselves that won't happen.

The last ones remind me of Pusheen. They're fairly cute.

I love MightyJax's stuff as usual! The G5 figures aren't something that I care about too much for the most part, but I do like the second set quite a lot!

Pony Corral / Re: Is G4 a thing?

There's not as much to talk about with G4 as there is for the earlier gens (IMO) because we know basically everything about it! There's no big mysteries, prototypes, etc like with the earlier gens. Everything's already neatly catalogued and documented.
Don't really agree with this, no offense - I still find myself learning new things about G4, and might even see new things revealed about it (I'm not sure if they're revealed, or I just saw them late, but it's probably the latter), and we don't know for sure if everything has been revealed yet, so there could be so much out there we haven't seen...

Regarding prototypes specifically, I know that G4 had a lot of them. Usually ponies with different symbols/cutie marks than generally expected, being a different pony type, etc. rather than entirely unique characters. Many have been documented, but I wouldn't be surprised if some slipped through the cracks and we ended up discovering them in the future.

I used to be during the early 2010s, but not currently. Is it still quite active?
