I still have my car paid off ( 135,000 miles) And love her! I was married from the age of 18 till 27. I am engaged again. But waiting to get married this time. I'm 24, turning 25 this year, and I feel old already :P
I'm married with lots of fur babies, and the occasional food baby, but no human babies in the near future. Between ponies, my husband /pets (both equally require about the same amount of attention, they're all very high maintenance :P)and work, I don't have time!
And I don't want to share my ponies yet anyway!
-
38. They were big when I was a kid. :)
-
44 going on 12
Engaged to Clarabel Sapphire on here, no kids (not likely to be either - noisy irritating expensive things!), only got into collecting ponies myself after going to UK Ponycon last year :)
It's nice having a shared herd :lovey:

Cool to see what the average ages are here! I'm 33. ^-^
-
I'm 29, married with no kids, 1 dog. I work as a graphic designer :) Ponies were very much part of my childhood and I'm glad I found them again :)
-
Old enough to have birthed most of you. LOL Also sadly the only one so far to vote in my age group.
-
I'm 18. Seems like I'm on the younger end of pony collectors.
-
I'm 26 (well for 1 more month :( ). I'm married and have a 5 year old son. My job makes me do this  so I won't mention it :P but I am looking for something I like better. I've been collecting ponies since 2009. Oh and I've nearly finished writing a book

Yep, I'm afraid it is my fault for corrupting him  Just kidding, it's really fun sharing my pony hobby ^.^ xx
I'm 38 and first got into ponies from 1984 through 1988. I've always loved them and started collecting as an adult in 2002, my final year of university studying aerospace engineering. Currently an office-based engineer for a U.K. based airline maintenance organisation.
-
33 in age... not sure mentally. I skew younger or older depending on how many true youngsters there are near me. :P
-
I never made my age a secret. I'm 26 as I type this.
...
I'm wearing a blue t-shirt, pajama pants, mismatching socks and I'm drinking a sweet alcoholic beverage. The time is 10:54 p.m. I have no kids and am neither married nor engaged.
What? The thread made me believe we had to state a few personal facts along with our age ;)
-
I am 40...
-
This is so cool, thank you for doing the poll so far everyone :)
-
I'm 36 for a little while longer.

DOOPY ARIADNA! I'm not turning 26, I AM 26 already! *facepalm* I'm turning 27 in May! Nooo, I thought I was younger! :P
As for my occupation and such, well I rent a house, no body wants to give me a job because honesty and a hard working attitude are not in fashion at the moment, I am wanting to travel to the states to learn taxidermy, I'm already trained as a barista, a vet nurse and a florist, as well as having been part way through a science degree. I have a lovely fiance' named Sugar Muffin (he wouldn't let me give his name so I gave him a cuter one instead :P), 4 cats, we own and operate a rodentry together here is Australia and I also show my rats and mice :)
-
I've just turned 25 :)
-
Turned 36 last month.
-

-
27 for a few more months. Married, love my furkids (currently 2 bunnies, 2 birds, 1 fish, and 1 cat), work at the college, love my car (aqua green), and currently we are waiting to see if we'll be buying the house we rent (the owner is selling).
-
Pony collecting will never dye with age for me :) I found some childhood pony puzzles at my Dads that I had forgot I had, I feel in love all over again.
-
15. July 11 but I was meant to be born around 5 weeks later.
-
I still haven't really accepted it yet but I am soon to be 16, I'll probably collect for many more years to come though!

What a wonderful feeling to rediscover! So happy for you :) yeah, i'm on the older side, but I look 31 tops and I think the ponies keep me young and smiling

33 here

I'm honestly surprised that there aren't more members in the "31-40" category considering that's the category that would describe those of us who grew up with the original generation.
-

I was kind of thinking the same thing.

I am also surprised by this, being in that bracket myself. Perhaps we've been "eclipsed" a little bit by the influx of FiM/G4 fans, many of whom were newcomers to the world of ponies and seem to be younger in general. ^.^ (Note: I'm not saying this as a negative! It's just a bit of speculation on my part.)
-
I am 21 years old :) I'll be 22 on April 9th :D
I am common-law married and have 4 scaley children (1 Bearded Dragon and 3 Leopard Geckoes.) Currently unemployed with a disability, but taking steps to find work.

Those of us in our late 20s also grew up with G1.... Sure, we would have been a lot younger, but we were there, and I would imagine may continued to get and play with the toys even after production ended.
Personally, I suspect the majority of G1 collectors fall between 25 and 40, which would be split between those two age categories in the poll.
-
I am 22. I live here and there meaning I have an apartment with all my ponies and lalaloopsys but I perfer to stay with my boyfriend and his twin brother. I don't like being by myself at night much. I work nights at wal-mart and can't say I like it most the time but what makes it bearable is working with my boyfriend. I have my kitty at home who didn't much like the apartment so my parents he stays. I draw anthro and ponies and anime. I make jewerly and clay figures. I spend my time online shopping shop hopping and just hanging out with the guys. There isn't much to do in this town.
-
33 ;)
-
25 turning 26 in May. :) I've been collecting since I was 17.

I agree Elisto. I grew up with G1 MLPs. Granted they were Years 9 and 10, but I did pick up a few Year 6 ponies here and there as I got older. I also watched MLP: Escape from Catrina and MLP Tales as a kid, too. Oh and I think I had the MLP thermos! :) So I also suspect an age of mid to late twenties through early 40s for most collectors! ;)
-
I didn't mean to offend anyone by stating that I thought more members would be in 31-40 bracket lol, I'm not at all surprised that the majority are in the 22-40 category :P
I grew up with G1's although I don't remember watching the cartoon, I had lot's of ponies and playsets :) I don't ever recall seeing G2's at all, I loved the G3 line and well now there's G4's :D
-
I'm 18! I grew up with the Gen 2 video game and I had the canopy bed playset
-
I am 32 ;) grew up with the G1!!
-
I'm retired and that puts me in the last category! :) I got into MLP through my daughter who also is an avid collector. I love going to local pony meets and to the Fair when we can. G2 is my favorite generation (for now), although I enjoy making G1 plushies!
-

I did not get to see the cartoons that were on tv. Pretty sure we did not have the canal for it. We were poor and did not have a lot of extra things. I did have the Pony movie on VHS. My mom bought it at a rummage sale. There was a lot of pony stuff that I did not know about back then!
-
I am A 34yr old MLP Collector I collect Monster High Dolls to and other dolls
-
I'm 34 but will be turning 35 May 1st :) I've been married for almost 5 years and am currently a housewife. I have an adorable little cat named Chani who is 2 years old.
Little more background about me: I have a M. Sc. degree in biochemistry (2007) and a Lab Tech degree (2011) but job hunting has proved extremely difficult since I neither have 2+ years experience or family/friends who can recommend me for jobs in my field so no company seems willing to give me a chance despite great grades and fantastic lab results :(
I'm currently trying to conceive and will be looking into working at an animal shelter after I've been on "maternity leave" :)
-
I'm 21 but closer to 22, just a few more months. I was 19 when I started collecting, I started with G4 and hadn't seen a My Little Pony older than G3, so I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered G1 and fell in love with them. I collect all generations now, but G2 and G3.5 are a bit underrepresented. :P
I've graduated University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and have been working as a Dog Groomer for the last 3 years. It was the first job I applied for at the first salon I walked into, right place at the right time. ;)
-
32...until tomorrow :P
Oh and I also thought more people would be in that 31-40 bracket :) Its kind of cool to see a bit of a shift though from what these polls would have suggested in the past.
-
21, turning 22 in September.
-
Keep it coming everyone :) I love reading the little bit about you all to :)
-
I just realized I didn't put anything about myself. So here goes:
I'll turn 28 in June. I am married to a United States Marine so that's what brought me out to the DC area (originally from a small town in Minnesota). I graduated with a degree in accountancy and attained my CPA license in 2011. I work for the Federal Government. I have 1 dog, 5 cats, and 7 rats. So my house is a little hectic with all the animals roaming about. I actively collect MLPs, Care Bears (over 4000!), and a few other things. I'm running out of room in my house so I'm trying to just stick with mainly ponies and care bears! :D
-
I'm 37, married for 14 years and we have 2 kids ages 11 and 7. I got a flat foot Butterscotch for Christmas right before my 5th birthday and I still have her, Confetti, Sundance and Posey from my original collection of 13. I sold the rest of my collection plus the two story carrying case at a garage sale when I was 11 or so but I've made up for that since I started recollecting after having my first daughter. My collection is mainly G1 and G3 and I probably have 500 total? I also have a few other complete collections~Sea wees Tropigals and Icygals sets with sponges and accessories, Strawberry Shortcake and Kenner shimmers.
-

Yeah, I'm 26, and I grew up in the last years of MLP and remember buying some straight from store shelves. Li'l Honeypie, the mermaid Baby Sea Princess, and sparkle Baby Gusty. A lot of my ponies came secondhand. They were rather easier to find back then, kind of like Barbies are.
I started truly collecting (buying ponies regularly, joining online communities) when I was pretty young -- like, 11 or 12 -- and back then (around 2000 or so) most of the collectors were in the age bracket that grew up with the earlier years of G1 MLP and I was kind of unusual. It's interesting to see how that's changed a little now with new generations of ponies adding younger fans.
-
This is cool to see what you all have to say about yourselves :)
-
I'm 30, but I'm just on the cusp for this poll as I'll be turning 31 in a few months. :)
-
I just turned 30 on March 8th and look about half my age.
-
I'm about to turn 24 in April but I definitely feel like I'm still 18! I guess I've been "collecting" since I was about 7. I had hand-me-down ponies from my sister that I played with forever until my mom brought me SS Buttons from a yard sale one day and since then I made her look for ponies anywhere that has second hand stuff! I didn't really start growing my collections till my early teens then dropped out of collecting for awhile, I think at about 19-20 when I moved out and just started getting back into collecting thanks to a push from my hubby-to-be!
-
25 but my birthday is in June.
-
I just turned 30 on March 8th and look about half my age.
I have the same problem. I had to buy some cold medicine the other day and I had to be carded for it.

I know 25 isn't ancient but I once had a door to door salesman ask me if my parents were home when I told him no.
-
27 (28 in September)! :)
-
I just turned 37 (going on 10 ;) ) I got My Pretty Pony for Christmas when I was 4 or 5 and that was my first pony. My herd got passed down to my sisters and disappeared. I started collecting again about 2 years ago when I started customizing.
I have been married for 11 years, have 2 boys (6 and 9) so I don't have to share my ponies ;) and am a stay-at-home mom because my kids have health-issues but someday I want to go back to school and get a degree in history.
I think it's awesome how ponies overlap the generations and bring us together :D
-
I am sixteen years of age~
-
Bump :)
-
I'm 34, but will be 35 come summer. I remember watching the G1 cartoons as a kid, and even saw the movie in the theater. :) I had about 30 or so ponies, and loads of playsets. And I still have them all! I started actively collecting G1s in 1992/93 when I found Tossels at my local flea market.
-
Will be 23 in September. Married since 18, have a 2 yr old with another due this june. Have our own house and car. Ive been Working overnights 10pm-7am for 2 years.

I will be 30 in June also :)
-
I am 37, married an artist and stay at home mom due to my middle son being disabled with severe health issues. I have three boys; 11, 3 and 8 months. I started collecting again about 3 years ago when I started customizing, I had ponies as a child.
-
17, only been collecting for almost a year though!
-
I see that a lot of us are in the 22 to 30 age group. I wonder what age has the most of us?
-
16 ^_^
-
I'm 28, will be 29 end of the month (the 24th).
-
I'll be 34 tomorrow. :)
-
I just turned 35, been married for fourteen years, and have four children (three boys and one girl). I have more toys than all of them put together. :P
-
I am 30 and work as a laidback easygoing dictator at a movie theatre. Currently having a cold :P
I got my first pony at the age of three or four which was ft baby Firefly. She was followed by Milky Way, Majesty with the Dreamcastle, Mainsail, Taf Sundance, Pony Bride, Barnacle and lastly Tassles. Thanks to mom I still have them all and most of their accessories. :)
-
17! Turning 18 in August, actually. I remember signing up here and waiting patiently until I was of proper trading/swap age. It seems so long ago! :P
-
Ya! More have joined us! :) Keep them coming :)
-
I'm 24, and will be 25 next month. :) Been collecting for the last two to three years, off and on. :)
-
28, proud mother of 3 kitties and 1 doggy :)
-
I am 28! I work in the media sales field, and thrive off earning a commission!
I am old enough to remember buying ponies off the shelves (and receiving Rapunzel in the mail as a mail order-- why did I have to open her?! ha), but young enough to have the bulk of my childhood collection be bought from tag sales after the G1s weren't made anymore!
I think if we had the categories be 15-24 and 25-34 and so on, we would have seen the vast majority fall in the 25-34 range. ;)
-
I am 26 :)
-
I'm 32!
-
I'll be 35 in 2 weeks.
Ponies were my fave toy growing up and about 3 months ago I decided to start collecting G1's again. I already have 93, with about 15 in the mail. Haha.
I have a problem. :P

I started collecting again a couple years ago and that describes my situation perfectly. I was buying ponies so frequently that I was disappointed if a day went by without pony mail. It was fun to get so many ponies so quickly, but be careful or you will find yourself in over your head. Speaking from experience.
-
I am 34yrs old I am not happy about it but I will be 35 October 16th I feel old I am so not ready to be in my mid 30's
-
I am 22 going on 23 this year and have had ponies since my early years. Granted G2 is what was on the shelves, I had G1s I got in garage sales. x3 I am a full time college student at the moment and will be graduating in the fall with a degree in International Business. I have been in a relationship with my wonderful boyfriend for over 3 years and plan to get engaged some time this year ^.^
-
Awesome, I love reading what you all have to say about yourselves :) Keep on voting and sharing :)

I turn 40 this summer and have only been collecting ponies for about a year after discovering my childhood collection in my Mum's loft - My first ever pony as a child was Bluebell. I am married with a son who is nearly 2, I also work as a nurse. Would love to have more time for the ponies!

I turn 40 this year in fall. I haven't looked back since I started collecting. My first pony was Cotton Candy. I still recalled how much I loved them and even the Remco fakies back then. I have many ponies but the friendly people on here and the mlptp are priceless that is why I am still around. I am also married. I have a 4 year old daughter who is into ponies too.

Wow, I am impressed at how good your memories are. I can remember a few of the ponies I had as a kid, but I don't know which one was the first I ever received. I do remember I received two Gustys for my birthday one year and was annoyed that I got a repeat. If only I had kept one MOC, eh? ;)
-
I'm 34. I am a branch manager for a local credit union. I have loved ponies all my life. They were my favorite toy as a child and I love having such an awesome hobby to focus on in my downtime!

Awesome :)

I am not sure but I was around 8-9 when the first few ponies came rolling down the line. Or maybe I remember my childhood or parts of it very well? Ponies just have stuck out in my mind maybe. I remember even going to a nursery and seeing a baby carrying bluebelle in her hand and I was so envious because I really wanted that pony.
-
22!
-
42 years young :)
I started collecting after i turned 40 :).
Had to retire after 15 years working for the Telecomm industry . Had an accident and my back is messed up now :( during a recovery from an operation ,I had to be home like for 3 months , so I came across MLP FIM and the pony affair begun :) Next July will be completing the 2nd year of MLP Collecting :)

I definitely remember wanting Bow-Tie and Applejack because of the MLP movie Rescue at Midnight Castle. Actually, I wanted all the ponies from that, but I especially wanted those two. I don't think I ever got Applejack, but I got Bow-Tie in the form of a plushie. My one and only. Gusty was my least favorite back then, partially due to the annoyance of getting two for my birthday, and partially because I didn't like her colors, lol. Moondancer, on the other hand... ooh, and Glory. ^.^
-
Just turned 31 on April 1! I work as a registered nurse (for pony money!) I did have a smallish collection of ponies, books and other merch growing up (that I still have!) and remember watching the movie and a handful of episodes. My childhood ponies were SS Twilight, Merry Treats, Morning Glory, Parasol, Sunblossom, Baby Sweet Steps, and Salty. I started collecting again when the FiM show came out. I collect mostly G4, with G3 and G1 mixed in. I'd really like to adopt more G1 ponies!
-
Thank you for sharing :)
-
Have I posted here yet?
17 until December.
-
I am 32! Married with 3 kids 15, 11 and 9, that we were blessed to have through adoption! I recently contacted my 15 year olds birthmom and now me and her talk every day and he calls her some, it is a wonderful new relationship! I am a stay at home mom!

I'll be turning 24 in two weeks and getting hitched at Disney World in six months! I've been actively collecting ponies for about 3 years now, but I played with them a lot as a kid!
-
I will be 29 on May 2nd!

Looks like a lot of us are in that first-couple-of-gens original fan age range.
Which is where I am. I... turn thirty this fall. I don't feel ready to be thirty. I don't even feel ready to be twenty and am not sure where the time went...
But yeah. I was very into ponies for a while, during the mid-to-late G1 years, and recently sort of re-discovered my love of the old G1 (and early G2) ponies through G4.
-
I am 24 until next Thursday ^_^
-
I'm 27 a mother of 2 beautiful girls and I stay home w them as my job. I just started collecting ponies. My oldest is 2 so not sure how to display bc she just wants to play. But I might buy some display cases for my special favorites

I also turn 30 this year to and don't feel like it. I feel like I should still be in high school sometimes....LOL

I'm 34, I will be moving to Ohio this year but I'm currently in Illinois. I have a 7 year old daughter and 6 cats. I have been working at a vet clinic for over 10 years. I love ponies and I have since I was a little girl.

I'm 16 and though I've only been collecting ponies for a few years I feel like my collection is already somewhat impressive!

86. Amazingly enough I got all of them to fit (sans the plushies) on my nightstand.

I'm 34, married (10 years in June!) with one pony obsessed 7 year old daughter. It's been fun to share the joy of collecting with her though she's more on the prowl for beanie babies or LPS than ponies when we go to flea markets. I've collected off and on since the 80's. I had about 10 ponies when I was little and then in the late 90's I got back into collecting. I used to be on USENET back in the day, but it was like the wild west of pony collecting and I got scammed so many times I stopped going online for ponies. Then I found the Arena and better buyer protections on eBay and started to collect again with the help of online sellers.
Right now I am a lab manager at a university but in the fall I will leave that job and start work on an M.S. in paleobiology.

I had my birthday a couple of days ago...I am now 38.
Good grief, 38. The body feels old, but the mind remains young ^^ Must be the ponies keeping me youthful, haha.
-
I am 29, going on 30 this June! Don't worry, all. I already had my Birthday Breakdown at 25, so I am assured that 30 will be a breeze.

I'll turn 32 next week.

I am 20, but mentally not nearly that old. Have been a huge fan of little ponies since I got my G2 Petal Blossom when the G2 line started. Currently studing a degree in space technology, and at this moment taking a break in report writing.
-
I'm 16 and I feel really young here!
-
Yep, I'm old enough to know better...
...but still too young to care
Still fall in to the most voted for category of ages.

Just turned 39 last month. I swear I was just 24!! Started collecting ponies when they first came out. My first was a flat foot Cotton Candy. My other obsessions include She-Ra and unicorn stickers. Married, with no children of my own. Hubby is quite a bit older, so I have 3 stepdaughters just a few years younger than myself and 2 step-granddaughters. My ready made family. :haha: I work at UPS as a package sorter. That's about it. :)

17 turning 18 in may

Love this thread! =)
I'm 25, turning 26 this year. I've lived my little pony always and remember the few G1's I had. My favorite pony of all time is UK Princess Sparkle I found her when I was 12 and loved her straight
away. I named her Lucy and honestly thought she was a fake.
I have a house, two Huskies named Mika and Scarlets. I'm also engaged and getting married November this year. (Feels like wedding planning takes up my life) I have been with my fiancé for 8 years and engaged for three.
I got carried away there. :P
-
i'm 23 years old and i'm make-up artist & fx artist from poland.

I'm 32, will be 33 in a couple of months. I've been collecting pony's since I was a kid. I had ALL the generation 1's. All. of. them. And then, I moved. (think I told this story before.) and because my grandfather was mad that I moved, he threw out all my toys that I couldn't bring with me at the time. All my ponies, all my barbies, all my ariel and other disney dolls. All of them. I forgot about them for awhile. And then MLP;FiM came out. And I avoided it for as long as I could. And when I couldn't ignore it anymore, I got sucked in. And here I am, collecting my collection again.

I am sixteen, going on seventeen. I know that I'm naive.
People I meet may tell me I'm sweet, and willingly I believe.

I am also surprised that my group isn't the biggest, but I guess my little sister loved ponies too and she is in the biggest bracket. I will admit that I liked her ponies during those years too

I'm 24 today!

I just turned thirty a little over a month ago. I had a pretty impressive collection of G1 as a kid, they got packed away I flirted with the idea of pony collecting and bought the Junko Mizuno MLP but what ended up getting me back into ponies was my kid getting hooked on My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. Applejack was my favorite as a kid so I had to pick up an Applejack toy here and there for myself, then a few other characters couldn't hurt. Then it was I'll rebuy some of my childhood favorite G1s then well maybe a few of the G1s I wanted but never had then... well a few G3s couldn't hurt  .
My daughter is five and quite pony obsessed.

EEP I'm close to forty than thirty now!

I'm 29 turning 30 at the end of September (man that feels old). I've recently just got 2 nieces (one just born a few weeks ago and the other turns 1 next month). I have one fur baby, a bichon cocker spaniel cross called Kisa, but also have 2 other dogs living with me who belong to my mum and aunt.
I've been collecting for a few years, since around 2005 but took a break a few years ago after the huge earthqauke struck my city (it's only just recently that I've felt like my city is getting back on its' feet) on February 22nd 2011.

This girl will be 30 in three days :)

Giving this a bump if anyone missed it.

I'm 35. No kids yet but I have been married for almost 12 years and I have been a copy editor since I was 17. I am currently taking a break from editing and working part time in retail while we're trying to have a family (we're currently going through ivf ). That's a lot of fun.

Oooooh...IVF sux. I'm so sorry you have to go through that. My best friend went through it and said it was pretty painful. I wished I could transplant and donate my ovaries 'cause i never plan on using 'em!
