Title: Healthy Pony Celebrate You!
Post by: Crowning_Glory13 on November 01, 2020, 04:03:28 PM
Welcome to Healthy Pony!!!

In the start Healthy Pony was about weight loss, and over time it evolved I to the idea of what helps you to be happy. We try new things and read new stories and find we are not alone. We may not have the same struggles but we all have struggled and find comfort to keep working on our goals.

Well it is that time of year to be thankful and celebrate the gifts we have. Here at Healthy Pony I want to do the same. Our days will be stressful and hectic, and how amazing would it be to have a place to either let the stress out or remind yourself and others how amazing you are!!

I set a template to sign up. This is a guide. You can choose your own path, but start a post so you can see how far you have come:)

Sadly I can no longer afford to do any giveaways, but I hope you reward yourself as you take steps to be a Happy and Healthy Pony.

So here we go. November to December 31st. You can sign up anytime.

Sign up:

1. What do you hope to accomplish by December 31st?
2. What would you like to approve upon?
3. What do you hope to share with everyone?

1. What do you hope to accomplish by December 31st?

I hope to makes healthier habits. My hubby and I hope to get on our exercise machine and cut down on our drinking. We decided to start this week.

I hope to finish knitting my husbands scarf hopefully before Christmas.

I hope to get more organized with my music students, my future goals, and feel I am going in a good direction.

2. What would you like to approve upon?

I used to be organized by writing lists and focusing on my goals and I fell off once I moved in June. It was working very well for me. It was fortunate I found a way that works, and now I have to get it back:)

3. What do you hope to share with everyone?

I hope to share the positive of my progression. I hope to share the things that make me feel happy. I hope to share the amazing growth I see in other posts.

4. What do you like about yourself:)

I like that even when I set out to do something I can do it alone if I have to.

*hope to help start your journey

I'm game to play again!

1. What do you hope to accomplish by December 31st?
I want to finish one of my stories using Nanowrimo to help me focus on it.
I want to continue to exercise regularly and keep losing weight.  I still have a while to go before I hit my goal but making progress towards it is good, too.

2. What would you like to approve upon?
Too many things to list.  Hmmm...maybe see if I can up my running speed even if it's just a little bit.

3. What do you hope to share with everyone?
My favorite Disney Quote:  "Even miracles take a little time"--Fairy Godmother.

4. What do you like about yourself:)
I like that when I get down about something I don't wallow for very long before I stubbornly get back up and start fighting back again.  I think "Tubthumping" might be my theme song.

I don't always remember to post but I'm always rooting for everyone so good luck!

Yeah!!! Welcome. For some reason I did not get a notice if your post...so I was plesently surprised when I read it. I am so excited and kind of jealous of your focus. But really the jealousy really is inspiring. Gives me a fire that says I can do that too:)

I would love to say my week started great but it has not. Work has been horrible and not very kind. They change my work schedule without communicating it to me. So I had to last minute shuffle my second job. It was a mess. But its Friday and I can take the weekend to get back on track.

My ultimate goal is to only work 1 job....it will just take patients. It will eventually happen for me:)

I thought I could catch up this weekend...nope...haha so much has been added to my plate I am a bit overwhelmed. Just taking a step at a time.

It's kind of funny how life works. I struggle practicing piano. It's not as fun as singing. I need more time to knit, but I tend to play games...or my projects are complicated and need focus and I have none after my job.....

Here is the twist

My church needs a piano player...so I am practicing. I have a huge fear of playing piano in public due to some horrible things done at college by my teachers...but I want to try more so I have 1 song to master...by Sunday...sigh I hope.

And I have a chance to raise money for the church with my knitting...I can not pass up that!!!

Now to add more activity in my day. I lost some and now it's all back:( it just might work out for me.

Good luck everyone on your week.

I am so overwhelmed with all that has been put on me. I feel drowning and now COVID is causing issues:( sigh. Gotta figure something out. Teaching online is so hard.

Work is running me ragged. The sad part I started as a Lead Teacher...new management came in so I went to cleaner to kitchen worker. I literally kicked out of my class room and the amount of kids that ask me why or can you come back please just stand my heart:(

But on the bright side I am active!!! I can feel that as I feel a truck hit me. I am pushing more music so that is wonderful!!! I am practicing more!!!  Just too tired to knot or do things that help my stress...my house is a nest but I clean so much at work I dont want to clean at home!!!

But there is some good and that is to be celebrated.

Well I am not updating so much but wow am I moving.

I had to play piano for church so supper amounts of practice. I now gave little time for wings and knitting but it works for me...well until I find a new job and have more time:)

Awesome for you!  I've been working on painting stuff and have been making really good progress on Nanowrimo.  This is the first year I've actually kept up with the daily word quota.

So, the library where I work has finally been told that we will get a new building.  They want to start building it next August or so. However, because they are building it where we are currently located, the way they're going to accomplish this is to send us to a warehouse and have us offer a pick-up service from the warehouse.  The director, while doing our annual evaluations (which were supposed to be done in July but she never 'got around to it') is basically telling everyone that she will be cutting our staff down to 14 people and we need to decide if we want to continue working for the library or not.  She's pushing some of my co-workers to consider getting a new job  so that she doesn't have to decide who to fire, but I am considering looking for work elsewhere because I get frustrated dealing with people here.  For example, I work in a library but the staff don't know the alphabet.  If I say anything about it, I'm at fault for expecting my co-workers to perform their jobs correctly.  It took us ten minutes to find a book that was reserve for a patron this morning because someone couldn't be bothered to read the slip and put the correct one in the book.  Not rocket science, just requires minimal brain function.  I was also told that I don't volunteer to "help" with things often enough.  Me volunteering to "help" turns into everyone standing around talking while I do everything and I'm kind of sick of it.  When I told the director that, she said that I needed to tell her when that happened but that was no reason not to help out.  Problem there is that every time I've tried to go to her before, her response has been: "Just fix it" "I don't want to hear any he said she said" or "I don't have time to take care of this, just deal with it."  So I'm going to start looking a little more seriously for something that doesn't make me wonder if my co-workers would be better off swinging from trees and opening bananas with their toes.

It's been a frustrating week, to say the least.

On the plus side, my mom and I cleaned out her storage room last week.  It took four days but it's all done and she also got most of the garage cleaned out of things that needed to go to the thrift store and the recycling center.

We are in the same boat with people at work..not a full comforting thought.

Great job cleaning out the storage place. Makes you feel so accomplished:)

Well I am doing ok. Not as much practice or focus on goals but I have been crazy busy! I did get some things caught up and hopefully I can do more this week. Finishing up some trades. I wanted to do a holiday swap with someone but I just dont have time nor resources. Maybe next year. I hope I will only gave 1 job by then:)

Ugh, where has this month gone! I meant to sign on for this, but I never got my goals together. My goals from the last Healthy Pony have mostly gone down the toilet...I haven't exercised one single time this month, and my hobby room has become a dumping ground again. My stepdaughter is coming to stay for a week over Christmas break from college, and will need to sleep in that room, so I need to get on it.

Lots of life changes this fall; my son is in face-to-face school 5 days a week (20-minute commute), we are lucky to have him at the only school in the area that hasn't been shut down at least once, which is good, but he started ABA therapy last week after school 4 days a week...and THAT is an hour commute from the school, and then another hour home. There's not enough time to go back home while he's there, so my girls and I just have to tool around the city while he's in there. I'm not sure how we're going to make it happen. I can't just keep my girls in carseats for 4-5 hours straight steeping in wet diapers. It gets dark at 4:30 pm here, so we can't just go walk around a park or anything. We tried to do a library book-walk thing last Friday, but it was so frigid and windy that we didn't finish it. I don't think places like McDonald's are open inside to just go hang out for a while...not sure. One can only walk around Target for 2 hours so many times per week.

So, maybe that's my challenge for the next few weeks...figure out how to manage our time during therapy hours, and get the hobby room looking acceptable for my step daughter's visit.

Goals change and work with what you have is good too. We can celebrate a room ready for family visit. We can celebrate finding an activity..I will rack my brain on what one can do...hmmm if you have a safe spot draw with chalk or play moving games or dance by your car. Go around singing Christmas songs:)

When my nephew was little we played "I spy" a lot.  He'd always say "I spy, with my ugly little eye..."  It was hilarious.

I spy is always a good time-filler! Lots of people will be putting Christmas lights out soon, so that will be something new to look at  :frolic:

Well have been off my goals...yeah holidays:) my plans changed as I was exposed to COVID:( so far so good. I have been tested and waiting results. I have no symptoms so that is good.

I have been knitting and wing making. Got my ebay up to date as well....more to come. I am thankful for having that time but my projects keep piling up haha:)

I have an interview once my results are negative...if I get the job I will be on a better track to having more time in my day and possibly working part time and teaching music full time! COVID is not helping that but I keep positive it will pass.

Well I had to give notice at my job, that sucked.  Too much stress and unpaid OT.  Or rather, I was expected to get 45 hours of work done in 16 hours.  I cannot do it anymore.
I hope the next opportunity is not like this one was.

Giving myself a simple goal this week. GET ORGANIZED haha I have so many things pushed to the side. I did get a hood start today. This is my busy time of year and so many things to get done and wrapped up.

Organization is the goal of my week, too. Just found out my stepdaughter is flying in next week instead of the week after Christmas...I have 7 days to get my spare room cleaned out, and my next 4 days are already spoken for. I'm not a great host during the best of times, but with this new therapy every night after school, I'm already in survival mode with just my little kids to worry about. Not that I'm not looking forward to her visit...I am...I just thought I'd have more time.

Just finished my 50k words for Nanowrimo!  My current story isn't quite done but it's definitely closer and I'll keep working on it.  Now I can spend some time painting and get some other things done.

I guess you could read what I have posted so far. Now that I've got more done I need to post new chapters.  It's a fanfic for an anime series--actually it's a companion fic for one I wrote a few Nanos ago.  I don't know if I can post links to the story due to language/some violence/etc., but it's on Fanfiction.net and I use the same user name.  The one I'm working on is Silent Companion.  The original work is Silent Witness and you actually don't need a ton of knowledge about the anime for that one.

Sigh...I did something stupid and I just feel that maybe something else maybe wrong with me. I just sent one of my special ponies I never wanted to sell to someone...but it is not their fault...I lost wings that never made it to the person and I fear they shipped to someone else and I have noticed by driving has been off...I just feel awful and now scared:(

I will probably not be posting for awhile. I am having difficulty mind issues. I did a what's your problem if you want to read more. I packaged up a box on Saturday. I was really diligent and took my time. I put it in my car to take to the post after work. I actually dont remember packing it. I am so scared I just sent an empty box. I checked and the pony I needed to ship is gone. That's a good sign.

So I am limiting my priorities to things that need to be done. And trying to lower the amount I put on myself...hope it will get me back on track and my mind back. Dont really want to talk to anyone about this...except pony world:)

Are you getting enough sleep? I feel like I forget things all the time, like I'll walk into a room and forget completely why I went in there, or open the fridge but have no idea what I was looking for. It's like my brain is in a fog all the time. I make stupid mistakes while driving too and it scares me sometimes. I write it off as lack of sleep for myself, but if you are getting plenty of rest and it's still happening, it wouldn't hurt to mention it to your doctor. Maybe it's something some supplements could help? I'll keep you in my thoughts and I hope you do update from time to time just so we know you're okay.

I am ok. I have had a head ache for over a week. I have rece6tested again and it is not COVID I do have a break coming up, so I hope I will start feeling better. I have to wear a mask at work and I hope it is not causing the sinus issues.

I was also scammed so I feel the brain fog was more stressing out over thinking I had miss shipped items. It stinks but i not much I can do, but I am going to post the wings stolen so if anyone sees them bragged or sale others can be aware. It did not happen on the Arena.

My focus is to get me better. I am going to do a game. Not sure on the Arena or FB or Both. I was met with so much kindness I want to pay it forward. And have a positive in my life. It will be a trivia game.. trying to guess the pony:)

  Being scammed is no fun.  I'm sorry that happened to you.

I tested positive for COVID after my mom caught it so I get to be off work until the Monday after Christmas.  I've been painting and chilling out at home.  I've also managed to lose weight this week without trying.  I think it's because I'm not at work, stressing over dealing with people or having to clean up their messes.  It's been really nice.

I've been watching holiday movies with themes.  One day it was all the stop-motion specials (Rudolph, Year without a Santa Claus, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, etc.)  Then I had a day of A Christmas Carol (I have 10 different versions ranging from a black and white version to Alvin and the Chipmunks and the Smurfs--I didn't get through all of them but I watched several).  Yesterday the theme was "Scary Christmas" and I watched the Krampus, Gremlins and the Supernatural Christmas episode (Season 3 episode 8)  I considered throwing on Nightmare before Christmas but I ran out of time.  Today it's all about "Finding a New Santa" so Ernest Saves Christmas, The Santa Clause Trilogy and Call Me Claus are on the list to watch today.  Tomorrow I'll probably go with a more religious theme (Mr. Kreuger's Christmas, The Star, Keep Christmas With You, Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Forgotten Carols).  Maybe Monday will be "Holiday Hijinks" featuring Home Alone, Eloise at Chrismastime, Muppets Letters to Santa, and the holiday episodes of Goof Troop and Darkwing Duck.

I really ought to write the movie book that I had an idea for a few years back.  It would have suggested movies to watch each day of the year based on random holidays (like "National Ice Cream Day") or lists of movies to watch based on a theme like I've done with my holiday watching this year.

Sorry to hear you got scammed...you should definitely post pictures of the wings on all pony sites you are on, in case they turn up for sale. Can you file a claim against the seller? At least add their name to the bad-trader list. I would expect so much better from pony people!

Glad to know you're hanging in there, and I hope you start feeling better. So many people around me have the Coronavirus right now...we went to a funeral 2 weeks ago and I guess it got spread around. I'm pretty certain my husband has it, but he'll never get tested, so we won't ever know for sure. Glad we'll be able to lay low for a few days over my son's Christmas break to minimize others' exposure to us in case we have it/are carrying it. I could use the downtime; I've been running myself (and my family) ragged shuttling my son to his ABA therapy 4 nights/week an hour away.

A game sounds fun...maybe it will pick everyone's morale up a bit.

*many hugs to all*  I'm so exhausted in this learning curve at the new job but I am hopeful it will pass.  But the old job still needs training!  ARGH I had to work on Saturday!
And I will have to come in next week at night after my other job.

I wish to be able to participate and help inspire others, right now I am trying to give myself permission to stop stressing out >.<
