Off Topic / Re: The Trivial Complaints Thread ... #3

everyone,

i've been trying to find a solution to add an additional monitor to my work computer. it's a Mac Air M1 so it doesn't support 2 monitors without a docking station. my work doesn't pay for accessories which isn't really a big deal since i already have monitors that i like and the ones they provided when we worked in person were low resolution. however the monitors i have use USB-C cords and every docking station that claims to support 2 monitors on the Mac Air M1 are HDMI. i have tried several converters that didn't work. and all of the ones i can find are designed to allow an HDMI monitor to plug into a USB-C port. i like these monitors and i'm not buying new ones to accommodate this stupid work computer. so for now i'm just out of luck.

What does it smell like? Smoke? Mold?

You can try a vinegar and baking soda paste. Soak the hair in white vinegar and then sprinkle on some baking soda. Let it sit for a few hours. Then wash with cold water. If it doesn't work the first time, do it again.

Thanks for the advise. She smells sour, unlike I have ever seen before.

Cat litter in a bag can also do the job.
If it still stinks, try to check if it's not tail rust. Otherwise you might want to pop the head open for a good clean inside.

Thansk for the advice. I do have cat litter at home. She doesn't appear to have tail rust but I haven't opened her up.

They are mostly Super Sculpey polymer clay. For their wings and Scorpan’s hand I used for the first time Cosclay.

I can't even... :yikes:

This spring has been weird, it's like winter was overly long and then we skipped spring altogether and went straight into summer.  Now we're having the first heatwave of the season. Well, heat by Finnish standards - anything above 25 Celsius (77 F) is considered hot here. It's been constantly above that since last week, and the upcoming week is not going to be any cooler. Most Finns are probably enjoying it now after the long winter, me too, but TBH it's uncharacteristic to have these temperatures in May. Luckily we got a bit of rain over the weekened, and luckily it's still cool during the night as we don't have AC. It gets more problematic when the temperature won't go below 20 degrees during the night... then it gets impossible to keep the indoor temperature comfortable and I'll have trouble sleeping. >_<

Oh wow, this is epic!

What materials did you use, is it polymer clay? You've probably mentioned this in one of your WIP threads but I can't remember. :yikes:
