and I suspect the rattling one has got a loose tail washer inside it   if the neck seam is stil sealed then nothing *questionable* could have got in, so its more than likely to be the tail washer.  you might be able to carefully pop the neck seam and get the head off to remove it, but be careful not to split the pony.  (I type from experience...)

yeah I've pretty much figured out that's what it is, and since there are multiple pieces rattling around in there I'm sure the whole inside is rusted and the tail washer is probably just a mass of rusty pieces.

I've got lots of experience taking the heads off, I'm a customizer lol :3 boil the head really good and be super careful with an xacto knife
