Yes, this is my new thing! I love how the costumes change with the times. I'm not sure whether fashion is broken in the real world, but I'm now in my 40s so perhaps I just don't understand it. Anyway, in the world of OG it all seems very fun and wholesome still.

This time of year can sometimes be OK if you are able to hibernate but it's back to work it always feels like a challenge. I'm looking at soil samples and doing a stock inventory today.

I love all of this set, I like that gentle version of Pinkie, Kimono has been a favourite for me to do her hair. I liked Kimono's Town House and thought it was very funny. I always think purple ponies are nicer in person. Sparkleworks is great but we found her around a lot and her colours have faded a bit in our case. I agree about that Minty pose but I just imagine she's saying 'you hoo!" to somebody across the street. Her colours make up for anything as far as I'm concerned. Lovely. Since I have to pick a favourite I'll choose Pinkie in this set.

I found a load of accessories at a charity shop and looked up which dolls they were from. Lo and behold, OG 18" Lily Anna riding clothes (minus the boots and most of the small accessories), plus another two party dresses with shoes as well and some tights and underwear, leggings and tops. No sign of the dolls or a horse.
So I went shopping online and found Serenity Slumber Party Doll with slippers, pyjamas and a heart-shaped pillow. I think she will look nice in the other clothes, but since my child doesn't ride and the boots are missing I will probably put the riding stuff to one side. I know American Girl dolls are a step up from these and some people collect them, but if anyone else is interested in OG dolls let me know which sets you have. I'm completely new to human dolls so this is all very interesting to me.

Our cat lives outside, it was -5 Centigrade last night. He has grown a thick winter coat. He gets FOMO and comes indoors but then he leaves again after about a minute because he gets too hot. He does sleep under the compost heap though which must be warm.
I had a nice Sunday with everyone at home, we tried to take the baby out to look at the frost but she got in a temper for no reason, even though she was wrapped up. She was a bit unsettled all day but I think she still has some big teeth coming through. She's had a big growth spurt recently. She pushes to get involved in things but doesn't know how because she's so little, so I try to do things she can join in with and comfort her when she gets frustrated.

The baby got some Bluey stacking cups for Christmas that you can play with in the bath

They have the stature of the G4 alicorns but they have a boxier, G3 look which I like and also a touch of mad Lisa Frank style and colouring. I love the scrunchie on Mint Chip, in fact I love the hair on all of them - you're really good at hair! Another thing I liked was the Mom vibes with Blueberry Twist (apron, bun cases) and overall the composition of the image looks really finished and balanced. Sweet 'n' Salty's pose is really dynamic and a bit unusual. Predictably though, strawberries and pastel pink are my favourites, so I think Strawberry Cream is my favourite.

I have three new CDs this Christmas: Handel's trio sonatas, one of John Renbourne's and also a CD of John Barry's theme for Out of Africa. I intend to put two books on my Kobo. I think it's to do with the interface. So for me, in the past I used ear buds a lot and would buy MP3s, but my Hi Fi seperates give the best sound quality and I like to listen to CDs while working in the kitchen or having dinner. However, when it comes to books my Kobo gives me a better experience than a paper book because I can adjust the print size and backlight colour etc. so it's much more comfortable. Also totally waterproof, so no accidents in the bath!

The Neon Nights are amazing and I want all of them! I also love the Princes of course, the blurb is particularly nice for this one as well.

I have been thinking about the veg garden for next year. I bought some seeds and ordered my potato tubers. I'm always too ambitious but last year it paid off because a lot of things got eaten off by slugs, but what was left was just enough. I still have three pumpkins left to eat.

We were going to take the baby to the zoo on Sunday for her birthday, but the weather is looking bad. Now I'm trying to hire the small pool where she goes for her swimming lessons. Failing that, might have to just all meet at Grannie's where there is more room for us to sit indoors. Today was a quiet one, we are both on holiday from work and took the baby out to a small play park near our house.

I can't help but I'm really sorry that happened to you, I hope someone looks after your ponies for you and you get sorted out and settled again as soon as possible. Good luck with it all.

Commiserations to everyone with domestic mishaps and health problems! Hugs and good wishes. Oh and shopping woes too, not a great time of year.
I've had a nasty cold for about three weeks now, I won't describe it again but the wierdest side effect has come back which is a smell of burning in my nose. Like someone is having a rubbish fire near our house and some of the smoke is blowing inside. Generally feeling tired and headache today, but spent a nice peaceful day with my small family. Last couple of days I took the baby to sleep over with friends and play with their kids, they are very kind and I always feel grateful to know them.

Merry Christmas all! So nice to hear everyone's preparations. I also did some cleaning, errands etc. yesterday and Sunday although this cold is still slowing me down. I think all presents are now wrapped. Looking forward to the crib service later.
