What is the problem with the arena?

For months now I have been having lots of problems with this site running extremely slow.  It takes as long as 10 mintues at times to log in.  No other site gives me this issue.  I have very fast wireless and very good computer.

Then once I finally get in, I go to the Navigation menu and pick a forum and I wait sometimes another long period of time just to get sent to that forum.

Then once I am in that forum and click on a thread I have to wait a very long time just to get into that thread.  To make matters even more frustrating my posts don't post to the forum for sometimes as long as 5 or more minutes of waiting.

Sometimes when I click on a forum in the navigation menu the forum never loads and I have to click on that forum again.

I would like to know what is going on?  Its not my computer, its not the browser because I have used all browsers and this happens anyway.  I can log into any other site or forum and do just fine.  My internet speed is fantastic.  The Arena is just not running well.  Its so frustrating for me that many times I just give up.

Also I have tried many different times of day and that makes no difference either.  There are times where it just literally shuts down and boots me off and never loads as the server seems to not be able to handle the traffic.

Can something be done?

I'm having a similar problem. It takes forever, or I get an error message.
I know it's not my computer, as my laptop is only a couple of days old.

Ditto. I'm having a hard time getting on sometimes, it won't load anything. Just sits there with a "connecting" at the top of my tab. My computer will load any other website with ease.

Well its nice to know I am not the only one going through this. Hope it can be fixed.

... i've been having that issue for ages as well (since they went to the new arena) and having it randomly freeze the window it's in (no other window, no other site EVER gives me this problem) all they've told me is "it's just you" and to pretty much deal with it ... :\ *shrug*

... getting really bad lately ... especially when there are lots of people in here ... but happens a lot even when there's hardly anyone ... seems closely linked to when someone makes a new post/thread/etc though ... other than that ... no clue ...

I have been having the same issue.  For a while I thought it was my computer because it gets slow when we have it loaded with a bunch of movies and pics.  But I've noticed its only the arena and also photobucket for me.  So I don't guess its my computer if others are having the issue.

I think (or more like guess) it has something to do with alot of people trying to be here at the same time. It mostly happens to me when its late evening/night for me, meaning its day in the US. And ofcourse majority of people lives there.

It happens to me every day between 2:00 and 4:00. I'll just be unable to connect to the Arena at that time. It's really weird...

Similar happens to me too. I'm glad someone made this thread! It can get frustrating waiting for the tab to finally open, or doing something else for a while then coming back and trying later when I get an error message.

Me too! I posted on the Arena Facebook group. I'm super glad to know it isn't just me at that time!

Boy its really getting bad now.  Yesterday I was trying to post to a thread to join a swap and it took me two hours to do it. Blaaaaa

I have this problem several times a day I thought it was loads of people logging on, but it happens at different times, although it does seem to be worse at 8pm BST

The same thing happens to me every day at about noon PST through 2pm. It's gotten worse lately.
