That's not a stupid question at all! Post cards (or postcards) are just one smaller (maybe 12cm by 17cm) piece of stiff paper, usually with a picture on the front and a small area to write on on the back. You don't mail them inside an envelope. Greeting cards are usually a folded, slightly larger stiff piece of paper with a picture on the front and writing inside, and sent inside an envelope. Post cards are less expensive to mail, usually, and kind of like sending a short friendly note. Greeting cards are a little more formal and fancy and can be pretty elaborate. Those aren't formal definitions but I hope that helps.
Oh that is super helpful, thanks, Mkia9!
ooh awesome a postcard option. Thanks! Now to plot my cards.
Cute idea! This is one I can't join because I'm full but am so excited to watch and see the brags
I'm trying to decide if my mare will let me do weird Christmas things to her for a picture. Course she might also not agree to such foolishness.
Um.. This is probably a really stupid question, but since english is not my first language I'm going to ask anyways. What is the difference between a postcard and a greeting card?
Aww come on guys - I know it's different, but it's not a bad thing. We are trying something new and fun for the swap this year. We'll see how it goes and tweak things as needed for next year.I'd hate for any members to get discouraged from joining after seeing these comments. If you really don't want to join with the new changes, then don't join - but please let others make their own decisions on if it's good or bad. There are lots of ways to still hang postcards for display - decorated clothes pegs, paper clips, even a small hole with some ribbon. As for limiting it to 5 cards this year - there are many reasons behind that decision, which don't need to be discussed here. If you have any major concerns you can always PM me (either this account or the ArenaHunt account).
