Just for fun I thought we could share pics of our beloved pets in clothes.

I'll first say I never thought I'd see the day I'd dress up my dog.  We just didn't do that when I was growing up and I never saw the need. Guess most of our dogs were big, pretty furry and we lived in Georgia then.

However, now I have a Great Dane and she has thin, short hair and gets cold here in Washington. So ever since she was a pup we've gotten her shirts/sweaters to wear in the winter. Lately she's gotten 2 new ones. Though it's quite hard to find cute dog sweaters in her size. :/

Of course I dress my dog 

She's a Plott Hound X, short coat, and loves to snuggle. With the cold weather here in MI, I like to keep her warm when she is playing outside.

I usually go to a thrift store and find a hoodie or sweatshirt in roughly "her size", lol (she's between a M and a L, deep-chested with a narrow little waist), then I take in the waist and shorten the sleeves.

Our GSP crossed the Rainbow Bridge last summer (cancer), but I crocheted her sweaters to keep her warm.

Our dogs wear jackets in the winter. I do not have any pictures though. I should do that!

*hunts for pics* It's Oni's very favorite thing to dress up so there are a few of her in clothes if I can find them. The others stick mostly to winter coats.

I can't wrestle her into clothes anymore but when Stevie was a baby she dressed as a pumpkin for Halloween.

Kitty is so sweet, he lets me put costumes on him, he will sit for pictures, but gives me the grumpiest face.
Altering a hoodie for dogs is a good idea I might try it! Our big dog's jacket doesn't fit anymore.
