I know Eve and Copper Glow are tough to get hold of, but what about Miss Painter?
Do you mean Copper Glow if not then who is Cooper Glow ?
Hasbro will never sell the rights to the molds or characters. If anyone is thinking about doing repros . . . just do it. Do not, repeat, DO NOT ask Hasbro for permission. It's very noble to want to do things "above board", but it won't work. Hasbro will just say "NO, in fact you do NOT have our permission to do that" and then send you a cease-and-desist because you've alerted them to your operation.
Yeah, I think it's entirely possible to do something similar to HQG1C with G2 molds. (Don't know how much demand there is for them, but as far as manufacturing--definitely.) You could look on Aliexpress, I'm sure a lot of the bootleggers there are willing to make anything you please, for the right price. The challenge is they usually don't do small runs of toys, I don't think. So it would be quite the financial burden to jump in with, and even moreso if the repros don't sell well and you end up with, like, 400 of a single pony in your garage.
Friends, would you say that Prince Firefly stands out as a lot of people's favorites? If so, he might be a good candidate for a reproduction!

I don't want to get into the legalities of reproductions, I think those are pretty obvious. But please, for goodness sake, don't reproduce exact copies of existing ponies. For a start, there's no point, the ponies exist already. For a second thing, if the repro was close enough it might then get mistaken for the original. For the third, it's exactly Hasbro's intellectual property.Producing new original ponies in poses from G2 ponies is not more legal than reproducing existing ones. But at least they can't be confused for originals later on down the line.I am wholeheartedly against the reproduction of existing older stuff unless it's done by Hasbro or under a Hasbro licence. I know there are folk who won't agree with me but I feel really strongly about this.
