Title: Hi from Atlantic Canada
Post by: jesswaitaminute on September 17, 2018, 05:08:54 AM
Hi everyone!

I'm Jesswaitaminute, or Jess for short, and although I've been collecting for a while I'm new to the online pony world. I was born in the '80s and got my first ponies then (Wavedancer, baby Quackers and Caramel Crunch) but was mostly collecting in the late '90s and early 2000s. I have  200ish G1s and around 100 G3s.

When I had got married and had kids I packed my ponies away, but I recently found them and it reignited my pony obsession!

I'm mostly just working on cleaning up my old ponies-There was no such thing as magic erasers the last time they were out on display  -because I don't have much time or money to invest in new ponies right now.

My interest is mostly in G1s, but I'm a fan of all generations and really enjoy learning about the different G1 variations and Nirvana ponies. I also loooove cleaning ponies and there's so much great info to be found here about cleaning and restoration. It's so satisfying to transform a grubby and tangly pony into a shiny and silky one.

I don't really know of any G1 collectors in my area (Atlantic Canada) but I'd love to hear from anyone nearby.

I think that's about it, so thanks for reading  ^.^

Hi, welcome to the Arena!

It seems like you have a great herd :D Cleaning a lot can take a while though. You can always ask in the pony corral if you need any help restoring them :) I'm sure you will like the nirvana forum and gallery too!

I'll see you around the forums! Have fun exploring :)

Hay there! Restorations are always a lovely thing to do. If you need any help, feel free to ask. Some of us have experience with restoring, and can offer sage advice.
Wishing all the best, and welcome to our humble little corner!

Thanks for the tips! I'm sure I'm going to need some advice very soon....I found a bag of very sad, moldy ponies with bad haircuts hiding at the bottom of a tote bin
