I'll try to get a picture for you.

The mark is quite badly removed.

LOL PKW that is the most half-assed markout ever!

I know

C**NA

The PAT PEND  has been removed as well, the removal of the hoof mark looks very much like the way the PAT PEND is removed from the German release Princess ponies. They had their PAT PEND marks badly scraped in the same manner.

Really? It's a shame....

Why are they Nirvana? She's a made in China pony....

How could we know if the removing was made in the factory or by an owner?

Thanks so much for your interest PKW

I have seen this before and I'm certain it's factory. All the NC wingers have similar/the same badly scraped out hoof mark. Too many have shown up, in unmarked lots for it to be a coincidence.

My Cool Breeze came from Spanish eBay in an unmarked auction. It wasn't until she turned up that I noticed her hoof mark.

The NC wingers, along with some other NC ponies have been attributed to Spain over the years, BUT imho some of them have very little difference to their HK/China counter part.

They were/are thought of as nirvana because of the lack of a hoof stamp stating were they were made. In reality we know little about them. They might in fact be a "thing" of there own.

If I have a Windy Wing pony and I remove the marks, how could you know that's not a Nirvana pony?

There is no hard and fast way to be 100% sure.

There are a few things that might reveal the pony had been tampered with. It would depend on the pony though, as there are other features you can look at.

Province can also be very important, however you’d have to be sure, or as sure as you can be, that the trail was honest.

I remember a looooong time ago folks were removing body parts, such as horns and wings and passing them off as variants.  I’m not sure of the details, but they got found out.

You are scaring me a little!

Hahaha
I'm sorry, it's not my intention.

It's so shabby.... It makes me doubt.

When you cut into pony vinyl, it doesn't look the same afterwards usually as something that was cast that way - there's a colour difference and the surface texture won't match.  There's also the very real risk of cutting right through the bottom of the pony's hoof, as the vinyl is only a shell.  Since the alterations on the authentic ones were presumably done to the mould and not after the fact, they'd not have the same issue.

I start to wonder if someone is scamming or trying to scam -_- and that is what scares me.

I understand why you have doubt, it is very shabby indeed.

I have seen other nirvana ponies with shabby hoof marks, such as Greeks which still have the Hong Kong visible. Of course we can still easily identify them as Greek because of their other features. This seems a bit different though as the pony is almost identical to a China made pony.

It is only in my experience and having seen these hoof marks before that I feel the hoof mark is genuine.

I should get some pictures of other hoof marks which have been filled or scraped away. They can look pretty bad.
