Any Hot Wheels Collectors Out There? Boyfriend Help Please! Have Nurse Redheart

My boyfriend collects Hot Wheels (I do to a lesser extent too) and there is a Ralph's Exclusive Halloween set this year that has 5 or 6 cars, including an Ecto-1 that's all decked out in orange and black flames, or something to that extent. 

There must be a scalper in our area as I've hit up at least 8 or 9 stores further and further from the house, and no luck.  Ecto-1 is missing from every HW standee case.

If anyone out there has seen one, please let me know.  Neither he nor I want to pay ebay prices for a $1 car, and thus, justify the scalpers.

We don't have a Ralph's or I'd look for it for you. Hopefully someone else does though.

Are talking about the grocery store Ralph's?  Never knew that had any toys of note.  I will have a look since I have a few in my area though I live closer to Vons.

Thanks!  Yes, it is the Grocery Store chain.  I never knew they had exclusives either... till my BF.  LOL.

So far, except for one store, they've all had a small free standing display with the cars sitting in them in their seasonal section.  Only one had them hanging from a long clip near the Pharmacy.

Ralphs is a subsidiary of Kroger, and I've heard they've turned up there as well.  Unfortunately, I have neither chain locally so I'm still trying to find this one myself.

This one is supposedly shortpacked.  Add to that it's also the "Ghostbusters" car and there are GB collectors looking for them in addition to the Hot Wheels collectors... and this is a hard to find piece.

I did stop in a Ralph's the other day and nada, but I am going out to visit my parents next week and there are a lot less scalpers and a lot more oldies so the stores out there might still have one.  Now I am curious what are the scalpers trying to get for one hot wheel?

That store doesn't exist up here to my knowledge, and I don't think mom is planning a Border trip any time soon.

According to my BF, they do this a lot.  buy out one particularly cool car, especially if it's from a show, KITT from Knight Rider, the DeLorean from Back to the Future, The A-Team Van, etc. 

Then, for those like my bf who want the complete wave of cars, they triple or quadruple the price and charge $5 shipping to protect the card backs.  I've seen it before to, so I'm pretty sure he's right.  It's very not cool.
