The Dollhouse / Re: Ball Jointed dolls = to Breyer sized horses

I've never seen an adult proportioned BJD in that size, but maybe you could look at obitsus? They're not resin but they are articulated like a bjd.

Wow I gotta admit, these dolls are kinda creepy! Cool, but the double face thing? Haha...
It'd be nice if they had more joints. Being able to switch between a human and monster face is pretty cool, woulda been cooler if for the vampires at least they made the vampire face more than just added fangs...

Urgh, I just ordered a Doll Chateau Alberta about two weeks ago. The wait is already killing me and I've heard Doll Chateau takes 2-3 months... How can I possibly wait that long!!

Customs / New tail without taking off head?
« on: March 18, 2012, 02:21:43 PM »
Hey guys, I obtained one of the Celestias from the royal castle friends set which I am going to customize, but I can't seem to get the head plug off. The body is make out of harder plastic than other ponies, and I'm slowly going around the edge with my exacto knife but it doesn't seem to be making much progress. Is there a better way to do this, or do I just need to have patience?

Oookay well I don't think the head plug is coming out unless I completely destroy the neck. So does anyone know how to put a new tail in without taking off the head?

Holy cow! I can't believe this is real! I hope nothing bad comes of it, with how much drama happened over the show...

Probably a half hour to the nearest walmart looking for a Cupid. They had a Clawdeen and like a fashion pack, and that was their entire monster high section :(

The first trailer came out today, I wept tears of joy and excitement. We have any other AC fans over here?

Haha, that's a completely legitimate question, cosplaying is just that, dressing up as a character, the term is more popular with people who like anime/manga and go to conventions. It's for all ages, cosplaying is done all year round and usually(ideally) cosplays are more high quality than once-a-year halloween costumes. Many cosplayers go to great lengths and take great pride in making their costume as accurate to the character as they can. Most people go to anime conventions to cosplay, where they meet other people who like the same series/character. I usually do group cosplays, in which my friends and I dress up as different characters from a series and all hang out at a convention together, its a lot more fun that way!
Whether someone thinks you're crazy or not depends on them, my parents are used to my wacky shenanigans by now and here at college no one gives me a second glance if I put a crazy wig on, but it really doesn't matter what other people think, am I right? You're not hurting anyone, cosplaying may be a bit of an uncommon hobby but that's no reason that anyone would want to lock you up in the wackyshack XD

Those are cute, I love how the crocheted bows look!

My mother already knows me as being rather odd compared to other kids my age, and has gracefully taken my obsession with cosplaying, anime conventions, ponies, etc already, so when I told her I got one of those 'expensive japanese dolls' she was pretty excited to see it. She doesn't quite know about my growing collection of nude monster high dolls in pieces and strewn about, but I'm sure she won't react to them any differently than all my OTHER toys :P
