This has been out a while so some of you may have already seen it, but I saw it today and I'm SERIOUSLY IMPRESSED. The animation in this is so close to the style of the actual film. I just had to share!

Just in case you don't know, the song in the video is taken from the Broadway version. There was supposed to be a scene like this in the original movie, but it was cut out.

It's from the Broadway version so she's being played by a different actress I don't think the actors in the Broadway version usually do sound like the actors from the film.

This!  It's been ten years since I've seen the Broadway version and completely forgot that this song was in there.  However I do remember this scene (rough sketches from the deleted scene on youtube) and think this was well done!

I saw this soon after it came out and I was totally floored by how true to the original style it was. Absolutely spot-on.

I'm going to go see the Broadway musical next year, something I've been wanting to do for a very long time, so I'll keep an eye out for this song!

I love this so much. It's quite possibly the best fan-made animation I've ever seen. It's a shame he's not working for Disney.

That is great fan work!  I'm very impressed.  I remember this song from the musical- so creepy!- and I have to say, I'm pretty happy it was not included in the movie.  I totally loved Scar, for all his murderous, devious ways.  I could not have loved him half as much (nor slept with his plushy) if this had, in any way, been a part of the movie.  Murdery Scar is one thing.  Rapey Scar, no.

But it's not strange, Eduardo Quintana animated this, and he's one of the best animators nowadays. He animated the spanish-english movie Justin and the Knights of Valour.
