I transformed my travel guide gig into a packing gig.  I've gotten tons of compliments from people on how I pack.  In 20 min I can take one standard size duffel anywhere in the world for at least a week.  People watch in wonder and amazement as I take a whole bed full of stuff and somehow make it all fit in like magic without being too heavy.  Anyway, let me know if you need help because I do love to do it:

So I'm thinking of closing my etsy shop. I haven't had a sale in maybe two years so I feel like i'm just spending money so people can favorite my items and look at them in a gallery. I just don't have the heart to promote or even create something new and exciting to draw folks in.
So does anyone have any advice on either jumping back in and trying to grab customers? Or are you in agreement that having the shop isn't worth it?

It is difficult and very disheartening. I had my Esty shop for several years before for my first sale! I opened in 2007 and didn't make a sale until 2011. What was odd to me was it was my pony flutter wings that sold and they continue to be my best seller.

I've actually given away as gifts most of the stuff I make. The only sales I made on etsy were to friends of my ex. I've never been to a craft fair because I haven't accumulated enough product and they are always on Saturdays which I can't make. I made some pony themed hairbows and took them to a pony meet and even after knocking the price down by $8 an interested party refused to buy one. And $10 hardly feels worth it for the hours put into it. I'm just so discouraged at this point I want to make excuses and not even try.
Like I said I don't have a head for promoting myself. The only things I've sold recently have been some MH wigs and clothing pieces.

Dont give up guys!   at least keep it as a backup.   eventually you will make a sale *hug*
