That's not what people are saying. They're just saying it looks different on him. Long hair doesn't always look good on guys.

He doesn't look like a "he" to me.  Wrong sculpting...not a problem with the hair but the head is not sculpted properly for the boy ponies.

Yeah, I agree.   Not really keen on the larger eyes, either.  They make him seem even more sad somehow.
