MH Dress patterns?
« on: May 05, 2012, 03:07:49 PM »
I want to possibly make some clothing of my own for my 2 gals, but I was wondering if anyone had a set pattern that they used?  I might be able to just wing it, but I have never done such a thing, so it would definitely be a big jump in crafty things for me.  xD

Skip to 1:40. There's a very simplistic way to make a dress form. For a doll, just use paper towel and masking tape instead of duct tape and a t-shirt. They don't show that you need to make marks where the waist is, the middle of the torso, nipple placement, sides, shoulders, middle of the back, neck and arm holes. I had a tut for this on a Dollfie Plus, but I don't think I have it uploaded anymore.  >_<

Just think of it as simple puzzle pieces. Also, just google "making a doll dress form", "doll outfit pattern drafting" 'n stuff.  :satisfied:

There's someone on eBay who sells patterns for various MH clothing. Just search for Monster High Patterns; I think she still has some up for sale.
Bewilderness' thread seems pretty awesome, too!
