Welcome to Cycle 1 of America's Next Top Monster! Eight lovely monsters stand before me, but only one can be on top.


Last week the ghouls stripped down to near nothing for a semi nude shoot modeling hats, necklaces, and scarves. Despite delivering a high fashion photo, Cleo was eliminated, and Lagoona beat out Nefera for best photo, much to High Judge Ty-Ty Tuney's shock.


This week the ghouls were decked out as '90s music superstars. Which portrayed their artists the best? Which bombed? Only you can decide.

This ones really close!But ultimately I close Lagoona to go,she just doesn't look much of anything to me.

Voted for my top 7, but have to say Nefera, Spectra and Toralei are my top 3....I love Spectra wearing Steamer's hat, lol!!!  It looks great!  And for what it's worth since she's been eliminated, I think those were some of Rochelle's best shots, lol!!!!

I chose Ghoulia to go, her eyes just look dead, which is OK if you are a ghoul, but not ok if you are hoping to be ANTMonster, lol!!!

I actually voted right. I think Spectra is the weakest here. She always seems so somber in her photos, and she needs to pull away from the somber, especially in this case.

I like that Ghoulia is totally channeling MJ though, but I know that's not the point of this shoot.

I think I like Torelei's the most here. She looks like she's just floating, and embodying the song a bit.

Is it bad that I could sing every one of these songs in my head?
(I especially love Torn).

OK, here are my thoughts:

Clawdeen: I've decided to shoot only DT Clawdeen from now on. She delivers way more than the other Clawdeens. I absolutely love her, and I think she came out perfectly here. She's my favorite of the bunch, and I totally want to see her win.

Frankie: I don't think she portrayed JLo very well, and honestly, I think it's Frankie's time to go. She hasn't pulled off one amazing shot yet.

Ghoulia: I agree that her best shot wasn't so great, but she's been pretty consistent until now and I think she has way more potential than Frankie.

Howleen: My personal runner up for best photo. She totally nailed Pink here, and that's what the challenge was all about.

Lagoona: I think she totally portrayed the feel for the song and Xtina. Not the best of the bunch, but ok.

Nefera: OK, but definitely not her best. But she's been amazing up until now, so I forgive her.

Spectra: I think Spectra is stunning, but time and time again she falls flat in her photos. Last week I took fifty shots of her in a scarf and hat, and her photo still wasn't stellar. Today I took a dozen, and I still wasn't satisfied. She's so beautiful, but in photos she's just not coming across as a model.

Toralei: She nailed this challenge. Totally got Natalie, and totally got the song. She's one of the most consistent, and I hope to see her in the final three.

Whoops, now I remember which one is Torn. Haha, I was thinking of Smoke, which is the version I love love love (So much Tori Amos feel). She still fits it though.

I have to say even though Howleen is not my favorite she nailed Pink!
 
My two top are Spectra and Nefera on this one with Clawdeen close behind.

Oh, Nefera is quite safe at this point! It's Frankie and Ghoulia that should be worried. Oh God, I dearly hope Frankie goes home. I'm so tired of shooting her!

frankie may not be "stellar" but she certainly isn't worthy of "failing" either ... she is by far my least fav of the girls, but she obviously has a much more versatile face where some of the others are a bit ... stuck ... like poor rochelle, she's GORGEOUS, but just has that ONE face no matter what

i LOVE ghoulia, and i've voted for her very few times, her face is very much like rochelles in that it's a one face kinda deal .. kinda flat and dead (what can you expect from a zombie though right? lol)

cleo seems to have a stellar shot here and there and then a really "bleh, ew, how could she fail" shot. last week it seriously looked like her scarf sprouted lower arms, legs and a head ... awkward ... and her and nefera are very similar, but nefera just WORKS IT sooooooooooo much better lol

spectra, tor, and howleen just nail the spirit of this shoot, but really i think all of them did a lot better this time, but lagoona is just ... kinda ... there ... looks more like a street walker than a diva :\
