I really like her, but somehow haven't gotten her yet.

I'd like to have her. Wouldn't go outta my way to get her, but if I found her in a lot or something, she'd be warmly welcomed into my herd.

One of my first pony loves. She was beautiful in colour. She had musical magic, drumming her hooves on the clouds to make thunder and waving her tail to make harp music appear. I grew up in a family with a lot of music always around and I respond really well to melodies and notes and harmonies and pitch. I played violin and clarinet as a kid although various reasons meant I stopped with each one. Medley was absolutely one of my top ideal ponies. I didn't like Firefly. She was always too haphazard. Medley was the sensible one. Smart and kind and talented without being stupid about it. I was seriously obsessed with her to the point my mother spent three years looking for her in stores.
(Nobody told us she wasn't sold here. I am STILL bitter about this SINCE 1985). That's how much I love Medley xD.)
Medley and Glory were seriously my unrequited childhood pony loves.
When I got online and discovered Medley existed in the US I had a bit of a spasm and got all excited as I'd given up on getting her ever. Then when my first ever trade partner came to the UK with a CASE of ponies for us in trade, that was when I first met Medley and she became a part of my pony family at long last...

I also have an Italian one. And Peruvian mum and baby too I think. Pretty sure that's the one I had the campaign post on here trying to reunite my baby Medley with her mother xD.

And I have her regular version MOC. There's a story behind this one as well.
It was way back in about 1998 or 1999. I was still only what, 16 or 17? I had a saturday job working at the library every 2 weeks which earned me about £30 in total for 6 hours each fortnight.
And then Firefly came up on ebay MOC. I remember this was before the whole thing with ebay having lots of pictures but I think this one had a picture. And she sold for $26. Do you believe it? $26.
The seller said in the auction description that she had more to list, but at that point she hadn't listed any others. I sent her a message through ebay to ask who else she had. She had Glory, Sunbeam, Medley and one other - maybe Moondancer, I forget now. She was happy to sell privately (and these were never on ebay, so I didn't break any rules!). Because Firefly sold for $26, she asked $30 each for Glory and Medley. I scrambled my money together, got cash in $ plus the shipping which was probably about $10 back then. It was literally ALL my money at the time. But it was MEDLEY AND GLORY new in their original packages! And $30 might not seem a lot for a MOC item now, and it probably wasn';t much then. But for a 16-17 year old it was a huge amount and a huge risk to take.
Fortunately this seller was lovely. I sent her the cash. She sent me the ponies. They are absolutely beautiful and still in my collection today. I consider them both treasures. Here's Medley.

Looking back, I think I got a steal. But then, I feel like it was also meant to be.
I really hope that one day Medley and Glory appear in stores here as part of the retro set.

She was (one of) my sister's first ponie(s) and one of the 4 g1s that she's keeping forever. Funny cuz one of my first 2 g1s was Firefly, so they were BFFs when we were kids, like in the show kinda.

I love Medley. Her colors are perfect. I bought her on ebay at the end of last year even though I haven't bought ponies in years. She just looked so lovely and new. Couldn't resist.

She and so many of her variants are gorgeous! I like the Greek version with the pink and blue hair best but being realistic, I'd be perfectly happy just to have her regular version.

Gasp. Greek. ..is there a yellow one with green hair? Suddenly I think I may have her too? Or did I hallucinate and imagine that pony existed??

Want her cause I never had her growing up. Oddly enough I couldn't hear the "d" sound in her name. So I called her Melody instead. Which I thought was her name for ages. Also want her cause to me she was Firefly's BFF.

I didn't like her much as a kid and now I feel sort of guilty about it. :P (I didn't have her but one of my friends did.) She's really grown on me and now I love her. I love that she's not "pastel green" or "pea soup green", but is just GREEEEEEEN.
(Although I've also seen some that are more turquoise.)

She was the pony that started me re-collecting. So yes I do have her and love her. Shes special although I do wish I would of not gave away Medley and so soft Surprise of my childhood herd. :(

She has some color variations, some are straightout green and some are a blue-green. If you look at the pictures in Taffeta's post and tailrustedtealeaf's post you can see some variation. :)
She was also produced two years running, Year Two with Bubbles, Sunbeam, etc and in Year 3 with Posey, Sparkler, etc, and a few other rereleases. The Year 3 version has curly hair (which is also longer) and I've only seen the blue-green coloring on them.

I confess. My name is Taffeta and I have a Medley problem. ><
To me she's a sort of foresty green if that makes sense? There's a faint hint of bluish in her but she's mostly green. To me anyway.
I also want to steal LBS's purse. So cute <3.

Looking between my two photos the 2nd release looks greener actually...maybe it's a batch thing, like Twilight. I have a really pretty pale pink Twilight but my sister's is much richer pink...and she only had ONE release year, so I can see this being a common thing for Medley as well.

I should demand compensation from Hasbro for creating this compulsion in me by depriving me in my youth. (I accept payment in ponies, hasbro. But NOT MANE SIX).
I think there's a lot of batch difference stuff going on between releases. I think you could literally spend forever trying to collect different examples though...

I can actually say I have her! I would love some nirvanas. Oh, and I have that weird jewelry box thingy that has her and some other ponies like Applejack on it.

After watching 'Escape from Midnight Castle' I wanted her so badly! When my twin sister and I played ponies she was always Firefly and I was Medley, but sadly the pony was'nt sold here. So I could't get her for real. I had a green fakie that I pretended to be her instead <3

I have her - the regular version and also Italian Medley :). And while I have had Italian Medley for just over a year, I just received 'regular' Medley for Christmas. I can clearly remember lying in my bed as a child looking at the back card that she appeared on and wishing, but wishing that I had both her and Firefly. Sadly I never did get either of those ponies. Now I have both of them, and it is wonderful!

You're missing out! She's lovely in person, and so many different nirvana variations. There's color combos for everyone to enjoy!

I have the South African Medley (my avatar :)) I just love her bright yellow and blue!! :inlove:

I have the short haired version. She is one of my 'wow' ponies. I kept her on my bedside table for weeks after I got her. There is definitely something about those green ponies. And glitter, and wings! I'd love to have the long haired version as well.
