I love baby animals, ALL baby animals!! Especially Baby Bunnies!! Eeeeeeeee!! Here are my brand, spanking new six kits, compliments of my Rexy Momma and her Lionhead Husband. :)

So precious!! I've had newborn kittens and puppies but never bunnies. My rabbit that I had since she was a baby died a few years ago and I still miss her so much. If I ever get another pet of my own it'll be a rabbit.

I'm not sure!! This is the first time I've bred my Rex and my Lionhead! I have a girlfriend who had a nice Rexyhead litter; they had wee tufts on their heads and almost rexy fur, but not quite as soft, more on the Lionhead/ angora fluffy side. I'm very interested to see what kind of fur I get on these little gems!!
They are just growing into their colours now: I have One Black, One Dark Silver, One Chocolate, Two tortes and one White with Silver points! Talk about a variety!! :happy:
Are you keeping them all? Or selling them?
I certainly won't keep them all but I'll be keeping one or two at the very least. :D

it makes me wish i could of seen what my little bunnies looked like when they were just tiny little things. i bet my miss grumpy was just precious! and waffles with his helicopter ears! and of course jack, i bet he was a little angel. (he sadly left us)

I have rabbits all over my yard and I feed them. They are wild rabbits but they know they are safe in my yard. I've jumpped on the neighbors kid before.

OMG! I just wanna hold them! I am a huge animal lover! I love little furries! I have had bunnies, hamsters, a chinchilla, guinea pigs and mice growing up into udulthood. I currently have 2 mice Odelia and Ophelia.

I about halfway into my first year without owning a rabbit since I was about 4 and this thread is bringing tears to my eyes. those little babies are so adorable, I wish I could have one again! I wish we could see those little bun-buns flopping around and learning to walk, too adorable for words.

Theyre so cute! I love guinea pigs and bunnies. I wish I could get a bunny but I have 3 cats and making sure they avoid my guinea pigs is hard work! ^.^

Aww, super cute bunnies, so jealous you can have Lionhead rabbits, we dont have those in australia. Seeing your bunnies, makes me wanna show off mine!
Heres a few of them, I have 2 litters at the moment, these are just some, theyre Harlequin Lop X Dwarf. @ 3 weeks old. and a guinea just didnt wanna miss out!

My sister is having 2 of the girls, and Im keeping 2 of the girls, but the boys will go to the petshop, Cant keep them all unfortunatley!!

I LOVE the stages photos of kits.... I personally have raising and show rabbits for 6 yrs... My computer photo shop is almost 80% rabbits and all other photos other animals, MLPs ect... not alot people photo in my albums....

Diamond--Iunno. Cat allergies come from dander most of the time, and not actual fur. Dander is sried flakes of cat saliva that has fallen from their skin.

Bumping one last time with the last of the pictures. I am now dealing with a sort of bittersweet sadness as we were very successful in finding all of the babies homes over the weekend. :)
And I'm already eyeballing the calender for the next litter.. :frolic:

Kcherry, do you have to be extra careful in finding homes for them, because of the fur? The bunny rescue I volunteer for is always flooded with lion-head bunnies because people think they are so cute, but they don't know how much extra care the fur takes to maintain. So many of them are bought by teenagers who think they are cute for a year, and then they decide they are too much work, and lose interest. It's really frustrating! They usually go through pet stores, and buy them on impulse, though, not through private breeders.
I bred my rabbits once (well, I had a male, my friend bought me a female, and one day she busted out and they bred themselves). It was the cutest thing ever, but I found that finding good homes for all 7 babies was really stressful.

I hear you guys who are allergic; I have recently discovered that I am slightly allergic to the Rexy fur. :huh: I've never had issue with my Lionhead, but if I don't wash after handling my Rex doe and then I rub my eye.... OhMigosh! Talk about Red-Eye! LOL After making this mistake the other day the hubby told me that I looked like "Mad Eye Moody" with a red eye instead of blue! :lmao:

Not really, BCD. I do put it across to the individuals who are buying that these rabbits may or may not require daily/weekly grooming (some are always floofier than others) and I extend the opportunity to address any concerns or questions that they may have, but I have never had anyone come back to me with questions. I have decided to start screening a little with the next litter just to get rid of those people who aren't serious about making the commitment to my baby buns. :lovey:
I'm happy with the individuals who took in this litter and hope to be as blessed with the next. :heart:
