Just a place for everyone to put pointless Facts. Because we can never have too much knowledge, right?
The first person to prove cows milk was safe to drink was obviously very, very thirsty.

In Disney's animated classic 101 Dalmatians, Pongo has 72 spots, Perdita has 68 and each puppy has 32.

A happy rat will brux. It's basically when they grind their teeth from pure happiness (much like a cat pur)
If it becomes too intense they also "boggle"... and that is when their little jaws cause their eyes to bulge in and out of their heads... Kinda kooky but totally adorable and is a sign of a very content rattie!

feral cats live in matriarchal communities. (I want to say 20 or so cats?) the only other feline species that lives in this sort of community are lions -- who are really really far removed genetically, like all the way on the other side of the feline family tree. cats just happened to form a similar social structure!

-Your skull does not only contain brain matter and fluids. It also contains a few small, complex bones, including the sphenoid, a butterfly-shaped bone that seats the pituitary gland.
-A group of cats is called a clowder.
-Flamingos are not inherently pink, but rather show pink coloring as a result of a diet of brine shrimp.
-Red-green color blindness is rare in women because the trait is carried on X-chromosomes. Since men have only one X-chromosome, the trait is expressed; since women have two X-chromosomes, the non-carrying chromosome dominates over the carrying, and the trait is not expressed. The trait CAN be expressed in a woman if both of her X-chromosomes bear the trait.

The punishment for attempting suicide was imprisonment, not death.

Assisting one might have been death, though, as it would have been seen as murder.
We stopped the death penalty here in 1964...BUT technically until 2000 it was still possible to execute someone for high treason.
Treasonable offences at this time included killing swans (because they belong to the Queen) and stealing mail (because it's the Royal Mail). But in practice it never happened. For everyone who's had a pony go missing in the post, something to think on...
I love the Kitty armband idea. Somehow I imagine that would be a really good deterrant.
