Official Pony Plush?

Well they look better/ more show accurate than the previous G4 plushes. I wonder how much they'll cost...
Though I'm not a fan of the fabric hair on them.

They released those 3 first because they are the 3 most recognizable of their "type pairs". It had nothing to do with bronies. Little girls recognize Pinkie (earthie), Twilight (unicorn), and Rainbow Dash (pegasus) before AJ (earthie), Rarity (unicorn), and Fluttershy (pegasus). They recognize them, because Pinkie and Rainbow Dash were around before FIM and Twilight is front and center in FIM.   Again, nothing at all to do with bronies.

The theory on a brony board I'm not allowed to mention because we can't mention other pony boards is that it has to do with target audiences. Pinkie was the main character of G3/the core 7, Twilight is the main character of FiM, and Rainbow Dash is for bronies. We also think that the other mane 6 might pop up in a separate wave, like how most of the mane 6 are split up into two separate waves of toys.

I think it's more Rainbow Dash sells a lot because she's colourful. She's a marketable character. And there was a Rainbow Dash in G3 though she was more Rarityish. It's not for bronies.

Good to hear that Hasbro is making FiM-related plushies. They look really adorable, and it's sad that I can't go and buy one...

One thing that irks me though is the manes. Really? Those strings look kind of weird on them.

I think someone just snapped a picture after pulling them out of the box, so the hair might look better styled.

My two year old daughter is a HUGE Rainbow Dash fan. She will be so excited to have a plush of her favorite character. Thanks Hasbro!

Also when did Rainbow Dash become "for bronies"???  Little confused about that one. Did Hasbro make some announcement that I missed? LOL.

They're very cute! But...what's with their hair? I can't say I've ever seen that before.

Edit: also, I'd assume we get these 3 first because Twilight's the main character and Pinkie and RD are probably the most popular in general. Plus, I've been seeing them on promotional stuff since the very beginning of FiM.

LOL, what?  No, really . . . what?

Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie are two of the most merchandised, recognizable characters, and have been ever since G3.  That is the whole reason they were "carried over" into FIM to begin with.  If Rainbow Dash is now there "for the bronies", who was she there for all those other years?  Seeing as she looked exactly the same (minus wings) and couldn't POSSIBLY have been there to appeal to little girls, who, rumor has it, like rainbows.

Aaaaanyway, cute toys!  I actually really like the muzzles.

But yeah, what you said. I appreciated your point, at least! I get the feeling we're going to be seeing a lot of "whoosh!"ing in here though... My thought is, wouldn't this be a big middle finger from Hasbro, if this WAS intended to be for Bronies-only? "Hey, Bronies! we heard you like extra-detailed plushies, so we made plushies with ribbon hair! SUCKS TO BE YOUUUUUU!" I'm thinking that the market is "due" for a plushie release, because we saw some plushies released last year with the Canterlot line. More plushies for the Crystal Empire release just makes sense, it's not "for" anyone specific.

And HOW DID I MISS SEEING THIS TOPIC TIL NOW? WOW. I LOVE THEM FOREVER. I WANT ONE OF EACH, IF NOT MORE. @_@

I hope for sure they make them in bigger sizes. 5 inches is too small to be huggable, only holdable. Mostly like, somewhat disappointed though

Personally im glad they are small I have no that much room in my apartment so little plushies are prefered.

I would also like to see bigger ones. I just like cuddling plushes. 5 inches is not cuddleable, and is barely bigger than a Fashion Style.
