Who was your first? I don't really have any of these ponies. Unless you wanna count re-releases. So if that's the case, I suppose it would be Minty, since I've got the TLS version.

Snuzzle!!! I'm not a fan of any of the collector ponies really, except for snuzzle. I love that she's grey and pink. I got her at a Xmas toy fair a few years ago.... Unfortunately, the seller (despite ""knowing about ponies"") put a price sticker on her rump and the pen bled through so now she has some numbers on her butt :stressed: I even dug up the seller on Facebook and messaged them about it- not to return her, just to let them know to remove the stickies! She told me that was just a fluke. Yeah right!

Cotton Candy was one of my first G1s, found locally!
-
My first Collector was an Italian Peachy, with 4 hoof markings. She's a childhood pony, I've restored her a while ago and I'm happy with how she looks these days. =)

Cotton Candy was mine. My mom remembers picking her out at the store for me.

Oh gosh, I think it was Lemondrop? I found her in a bag with a Pretty Parlor (I still don't know why they were together, lol) at an antique mall.
-
I remember saving up my own money for Blossom and ordering her from the mail order re-release pamphlet. I also wanted Minty, and it was hard to choose between the two, but I picked Blossom because I had her baby already and wanted the set. Always regretted not getting Minty, especially as an adult collector, because Minty is harder to come by and usually expensive!
-
My first was actually bow tie. I really like her but prefer her in her shy pose.
-
Mine was either Cotton Candy, Butterscotch, Blossom or Peachy. The only one that wasn't 2nd hand was Peachy. The others were tail-less trades with friends for stickers and sticker books. I don't recall who came first.
-
Peachy! She was my first G1 too. :)
-
Butterscotch and Bluebelle at the same time from the fleamarket.
-
Technically it was Lemon Drop, I think. But she was bait.
The first CP in my actual collection was *looks at shelf* well I only have one so I guess it was green Argie Confetti :P
-
CF Blossom. I don't know whether or not she was secondhand, but she was probably my first ever. She's the first pony to appear in childhood pics, when I was two or three years old.

Ah ha! I was wondering who.voted other. I've never seen a green Confetti. Does she have colorful hair, or is it one color?
-
Other, lol! The "OG" six.
Snuzzle, Bluebelle, Minty, Cotton Candy, Blossom, & Butterscotch.
But my aunt had given me her entire box of G1 ponies when I was a kid, so I suppose there were even more than that! Two Bluebelles were also included in that box, the "original six," one flatfoot, and one not.

Mine was Snuzzle, who I got as a tiny little kid. We had alot of fun adventures together ^.^ I think I just called her "Hearts" because for some reason I never realized ponies came pre-named, even as I got older...which is strange since I watched the show all the time and would have heard their names.
Sadly I don't have any of my childhood ponies anymore but she's on my list of ponies to reacquire!
-
Peachy. I can't remember where I got her. Then I got August Poppy at a Salvation Army store a few years later.

Mine is bald, haha (I'll rehair her some day) but it's supposed to be blue.

Italian Peachy (came with Pretty Parlour) was one of my first ponies back then.
-
Other! CP Bow Tie was the first G1 pony I ever found in the wild. She cost 75p from a charity shop and I was so excited to have found a pony!
-
Cotton Candy!!
-
Lemon Drop with her Show Stable. She was one of my earliest childhood ponies. :D
-
Cotton Candy! My first collector pose, and my first Gen 1 :D
-
Basic Fun Snuzzle. She's grey, so obviously I had to get her first.
-
Lemon Drop (China) and Peachy. They were both presents on the same day at Christmas when I was eight.
Mum and Dad got a bunch of second hand playsets and stuff for sister and I in a local ad and split them between us. But they had to write to Hasbro to get a Lemon Drop as the (first release) stable they obtained didn't have one with it. So my Lemon Drop was new and made in China, and my Peachy was second hand.
...When I saw the title of this thread I thought you were asking who the first person was everyone traded with xD.
If you were asking just about the first six, I wouldn't be sure. All I know is that whoever it was had no tail. For some reason the first three we got from that set had no tails and Mum had to make ones out of wool xD.

It was coming up to my 6th birthday and one of the girls in my class had this new toy: a plastic pony with adorable eyes and a brushable mane and tail! I cannot remember which one, either Blossom or Bluebell but she later had sitting Bubbles and Applejack.
I was SMITTEN and wanted one too!
I pestered my Dad - who appeared to not have a clue about what this toy was - I was too young to go to the shops myself and search - my daily badgering of "have you found one yet?" irked him to the point that he actually scolded me for nagging!
Then - my birthday - I got COTTON CANDY!!!! :lovey: I didn't even know she existed or that there was a small herd to collect (thank you, back card stories!) good choice, Dad ;)
I don't know if my Dad was joking that he hadn't found one just to keep me in suspense but I got real anxiety out of it, LOL! I was obsessed with having a little pony!
But it must have been easy for him to find - what other toys in the early 80s were there apart from Sindy dolls?
A guy walks into a toyshop and says "my kids wants a colourful plastic pony with hair that you can brush" and the shop keeper says "I think I know EXCACTLY what you are after!"
So, when Basic Fun released their Retro ponies, I got my friend in San Jose to pick up a Cotton Candy for me, which he had sent over to the UK when one of the work guys was travelling over.
A few months later, the UK got them too, but again, I couldn't wait!

I'm genuinely uncertain; I know my childhood herd had two Bluebelles, a Minty, and possibly a Cotton Candy? (My memory is getting blurry, decades on!) No clue when or how they came into my possession, since they came out before I was born!
-
Oh no, I picked the wrong one! To be honest, I can't remember which one was my first purchase but I'm pretty sure it was Lemon Drop since they are so common here. Or it could've been Italy Blossom. Actually I should've picked 'Other' because our childhood herd had CP Bowtie! :D She was given to us by our neighbours, their children were already grown up.
-
My first was Lemon Drop, got her and the Show Stable for christmas as a kid!
-
My first was a Basic Fun Butterscotch. The first time I went to Target looking for these, she was the only one left on the shelf. The second time, they had the rest.
-
My husband made the *mistake* of creating an eBay account back in early 2004.
My first purchase was a Mommy and Baby Cotton Candy set.
.....and down the rabbit hole I went!
