Do you collect summer and/or windy wings? Who is your favorite? Is there one you like the least?
Guess I'll start :) I currently have 7 of them, here is my collection:

My favorites are Buzzer and Cool Breeze. They're so colorful and I really like their poses, as if they're actually flying. Buzzer was also one of my childhood faves so nostalgia partially explains that one :lol:
My least favorite would be lady flutter. The white hair is a bit dull. I think she would have been great with purple hair.

I think they are wonderful! I currently have Glow and Lady Flutter, their long hair is amazing :)

I think I have all but one. With most my collection in storage, and I keep forgetting to update my checklist, I keep forgetting who I'm missing. I think I need Whirley. I had a High Flyer as a child, so she's a favorite. Flurry is another favorite.

I have a few, but I'd love to have Cool Breeze. Glow wasn't my favorite at first-but I think she is now. I much prefer her with faded white hair!

I have two, Skydancer and High flier.
Skydancer has a a haircut but I think it kind of suits her.
I would love to get Moonjumper. She is s unique.

I have one, High Flier. Sadly she's the only one I'll ever have because Cool Breeze and Moonjumper are outta my price range, especially for a pony that size.
Glow, Flurry, Starry Wings and Little Flitter are cute too.
Cool Breeze is my absolute favorite. My least favorite is Whirly.

I adore them, easily one of my favorite sets.
Little Flitter as mine as a kid, and has favorite status automatically.
Currently working on some little winger babies to match their moms

love the little "fairy" ponies :-) I have the whole bunch of first gen hanging with G3 breezies and the LPS fairies in their own "shelf meadow"... only was debating adding in the G4 breezies - for whatever reason I don't care for the newest edition. Same goes with flutters... dunno why, love wingers so have them all but have zero flutters
my favorite is of course - the green one = cool breeze

I love them. <3 I, also, call them Fairy Ponies! Lol.
I want more but haven't been able to get ahold of any, recently.
I keep running into Glow.
I have one from my childhood, with perfect curled and pink hair! I always thought "he" was a boy as a kid so he remains that way for me.
I found another one a thrift store one time, in the same perfect condition! But I'm not a fan of duplicates and like to keep a steady "share the pony love" mentality (like whatever I already have, I will not buy more of, so others can grab it, especially at thrifts or yard sales) because I think there are other collectors in my area who frequent that store (ponies are always obviously picked through, G1s end up placed very, very high so kids can't see them) so I left him in hopes another pony person would swoop in and grab him. Evidently they did, because he was gone in a few days!
I found ANOTHER Glow in a biig lot of rando G1s I got a few years ago! I still have a handful of straggler duplicates that I would like to find homes for, but they are all just such common ponies with lots of flaws, I really don't feel anyone would ever buy them, so I feel like they may just be better suited here. (ex. cancer covered face Lemondrop, inked up Heartthrob, etc, they came in lots)
Among them though was Glow with his hair pretty much stark white at this point, and only one wing. I've wondered if out of all of them, if maybe Glow might be the one someone would want? I'm not sure. He's incredibly messed up but pretty damn common for Wingers if I'm not mistaken.

I currently have only one, buzzer. I’ve head-cannoned buzzer as a grouchy boy, kind of like a grumpy bear kind of guy. I’m not sure what made me look at “tiny butterfly fairy pony” and think of that, but it’s stuck now. Can’t change it.
I really do like them, as butterflies are some of my favourite insects, though I do enjoy and like all insects in one way or another. If I were to find any, I hope it would be glow, moon jumper and starry wings. I love space themed anything, and who doesn’t love fireflies? I say that having never actually seen a firefly in person before, but they seem cool from what I’ve read and seen in pictures.

Little Flitter is the most important Winger in our herd, she was my girlfriend's childhood pony, and the pony who sparked my own MLP obsession.
She's had a lot of love and adventures! She was second-hand when my gf got her. Her hair is faded white, her legs had some splits in them which we repaired with glue, and her wings have fallen off and been reattached many many times :lol:. They've also been nibbled a little bit! Most people would probably call her 'bait' but to us she's precious and irreplaceable :lovey:. Since I got into ponies she's been on holiday with us twice and had her photo taken on Cornish coast paths and Devonshire moors.
In Kitti's childhood Pony Land she was a baby flutter pony, the younger sister of Queen Rosedust.

These are a favourite set with me. I have 9, all the Summer Wings plus Whirly, Moon Jumper and Starry Wings. I prioritised Wingers quite strongly at one point, with Moon Jumper being the hardest to find. She's my favourite as she reminds me of a Marc Chagall painting. I got her around the same time as German Sweet Clover which is a really nice memory to have. I love the insect theme.

They are very pretty and delicate, I never realised how tiny they are until I found one in the fleamarket! It was Whirly, and so far she's the only Winger I have. Her wings are a little damaged but at least they are original. :)
I'm generally drawn to yellow and green ponies so I think my favourites are Cool Breeze, Little Flitter and Starry Wings. But I really love Moon Jumper's symbol and her shy pose!

I really love wingers! Never had any of them as a child, but one of my MLP activity/colouring books had a colourful illustration of them on the cover and I've wanted them ever since. I'd always assumed they were the same size as regular ponies, but I was surprised and delighted when I got my first one and found they were actually much smaller and quite petite. Definitely some of the cutest ponies around.
Here's a picture I took a few weeks ago which shows most of mine. Buzzer came just a few days ago and I haven't had the chance to photograph her yet.

I think the wingers are one of the few sets I wanted all ponies from :) I also have the Argentina set.
Cool Breeze (both regular and Argentina variant) and Starry Wings are my top favourites.

I love these! I've got Glow, High Flier, Little Flitter, Moon Jumper, and Flurry. I think Flurry is my fave, it's the heart/snowflake symbol that I love so much. ^.^

I made the mistake of buying High Flyer on a whim once. As soon as I opened the package and realized how tiny she was I was like
“oh no.”
“Now I need them all.” XD
I have High Flyer and Sun Glider is on her way. I’m also mid negotiations for Buzzer. I debated over and over on purchasing moon jumper during ponycon but she was just too expensive what with the shipping. My favorite would have to be Flurry. Her color pallet reminds me of one of my fav G2 color combos- Petal Blossom. ^.^

Wingers are awesome <3 I think I like the Windy Wing set more, but I love all of them. I agree about how small they are! I never had any as a kid, only one flutter pony, but I remember finding High Flyer at the carboot sale and thinking how little and cute she was. And the wings are sturdier. (I will always love flutters probably more, but if they're dragonflies, the wingers are little butterflies :D)
I don't have any of the Argentinian ones, sadly. But I have all of the regular release ones. Albeit I only have HK versions of the Summer Wings (I don't know that any other type came out here? I've never had one) and China versions of the Windy Wings (ditto). My sister also has Whirly, Flurry and Moon Jumper!
Most of them came from local except Starry Wings who came from the US. She was the only one I couldn't find here. Naynie's three, and my Cool Breeze and Sun Glider came from a local collector here selling up all together. They cost £1 each and were part of a bigger haul. The WW ponies are a lot less easy to find here.
I also have Glow and Buzzer MIB (Buzzer's box is UK, Glow's is US, they're the same except for how they're punched at the top). And one of the freaky put together Wingers - a Frankenbuzzer, with Flurry's tail, I think Whirly's wings? Someone else's wing stopper and Buzzer (made in China!) body. Unfortunately she's lost a wing so she's even more of an oddball xD. I know someone else on here has a more complete one, but I think mine has a different colour wing stopper.

It's nice to read everyone's responses and also see that opinions on favorites vary a lot!
I never realized that it may be a surprise that they're small the first time you see one IRL. I guess it makes sense that they're smaller than the flutter ponies.
What I also like about wingers is how sturdy the wings are and the various color designs.

That seems like a true Frankenbuzzer! Do you have a picture of her by chance?

I thought that I did but I haven't found it right now. It's getting dark here now so it's not possible for me to take a fresh one, and she;s in the cabinet anyway, so it's an undertaking.
Maybe in the meantime the owner of the more complete Frankenstein Buzzer pony will see this and post a picture in the thread. But I'll go check my folders again...

I love all the Wingers, but these are my only three. The first two are from childhood. The last was a surprise I got in a lot. I always loved Skydancer because she makes me think of colored clay.

I love them. Little Flitter was the first pony I bought from ebay when i started collecting. I had Glow, High Flyer, and a couple of the other summer wing ponies (i don't remember which) as a kid.
Right now I have all except Cool Breeze. Hoping to find her soon and complete my winger collection.

I don't really collect them intentionally, but I do have two right now, High Flyer and Buzzer. High Flyer is so beautiful, I'll probably keep her - I loooove that pose! As a kid I had Little Flitter, and thought she was cute but kind of hard to play with.

I love these! I think the one I love the most is Cool Breeze- I love everything about her but I am also partial to her because I got her as a kid. I don't think I dislike any of them, but I when I was younger I was confused about Flurry. I always imagined her as having a more summery name and symbol. :good:

Moon Jumper is the favourite winger in my collection: she was a lucky BIN eBay find. I would love to have Cool Breeze one day. I also love High Flier and Flurry.

I never had any wingers in my childhood, so I don't feel a particularly strong connection with them, but I think they are adorable, so I now have two wingers, Glow and High Flyer, and a third on the way (Cool Breeze).
I don't dislike any of them, although I will never look out for Sky Dancer, she is just to brightly coloured for my taste.

Yep, yours was the one I was thinking of!
Yours has a sunglider wing stopper, and mine a Cool Breeze (I think, it looks green from here) one but otherwise they're clearly relatives. (Although mine can only fly in circles with her one wing, that kind of just adds to the randomness xD.
Maybe mine should be called Buzzerstein.

How did I miss this thread? I love wingers, they are one (or two, actually!) of my favourite sets ever. :D As a child I didn't even know they existed. I do remember seeing one in a comic, I don't remember what the story was about, I think it was something with a tunnel and boats? But I had no idea they were actually made. It sure was exciting to find out that they did, I only discovered that as an adult collector! :whoa:
I love them all, though I must admit I have a "problem" with Flurry because I think the winter theme clashes with their overall theme. :lookround: My favourites would be Buzzer, Glow, Whirly, Lady Flutter, Moon Jumper, Sun Glider and Starry Wings! However, I only have Buzzer, Glow, Little Flitter and High Flyer. From the ones I have, Glow is definitely my favourite. She's just too pretty (I repinked her hair when I got her by the way, so don't be too impressed with her pink hair :P ), and there's something very special about her. :lovey:

Wingers are some of the best ponies, ever imo. So tiny and cute. cool breeze and high flier were my faves as a kid.
Now I gotta look away from this thread, because I'm tempted to go buy some. lol... <_<;
