I use Golden Delicious for the :muffin: Ponies I make, though some people use Lemonade.

Personally, I use a Lily Blossom base if I can!  It saves me the time of rehairing.

Lemonade is the favorite to use, found at Dollyhair.com

Dollyhair is currently out of stock and will not be getting more in for about 6 months.

RestoreDoll has some Katsilk called Lemon Blond 14, which is an exact match for Lemonade at Dollyhair.

Failing that, Applejack has the exact same hair color as those listed above, and her mane and tail can be repurposed to use as :muffin: Pony's hair. If you do this, You will get a very short, show accurate mane. I take Applejack's mane and fold it in half to make the plug, and get a length that is acceptable and layered nice and shaggy like the show. I only need to trim the bangs and style the hair to lay flat.

Heh. You know, now I cant remember if I was told 3 months or 6 months..  A search of my old emails shows that it was 3 months. I think they had been out of it for about 3 months so far, so my brain added it together.  It was Jan 23rd that I found this out. Hope thats helpful :)

Actually, I was going to use a 3.5 peg as that seems to add to the Derpness.  Happily, a friend is a hairstylist, so She gets to help.  :)
