I'm hoping someone with some knowledge on G1 and nirvana ponies can help me just understand some things.. I know next to nothing about G1 ponies as I'm mostly a G3 collector, but I've been considering adding maybe one of each other gen to my collection to change things up and maybe to see if I'll gain an interest in other gens?
Anyway, I was going through eBay and seeing what was available and I came across an Italian pony called Unicorno aka Italian Majesty. Now I have no interest in buying this but it was priced up around 300usd and about 400aud, I know this is a nirvana pony but is this really what an accurate price for these kinds of ponies is? I knew G1 in general were more expensive, especially nirvana, but I can't even wrap my head around paying that much for a pony.
Maybe because I'm just used to cheap G3's haha
If anyone can help me understand what a fair price is in regards to G1 ponies I'd greatly appreciate it

I honestly had to sit there cutting some of the tinsel out at the root because it was all just too much, super crinkly and frizzy no matter what I did to it. Fancy Free in the middle was the only one with decent tinsel that I didn't have to fuss over too much thankfully

I guess I sort of collect ocean/beach related stuff? I always make sure to pick up shells and sea glass and whatnot whenever I'm at the beach, and I love cute decorative pieces to do with sea creatures. Other than that, I wouldn't say I "collect" it but I have waaayy too much Tokyo Ghoul merch 

Ahh to be honest I REALLY dislike G4's  I don't mind the animations I suppose, but I honestly think the toys just look quite cheap and carelessly made. And there's so many duplicates? Like they're the exact same pony but with maybe a different colour scheme, I don't get it. No shame for liking them, they just aren't my taste.
G3.5's also make me cringe xD I can't even give a reason for it, just nope.
Then again, while G3's are my FAVS they're also not always perfect. Sometimes the animations make me cringe too.
I don't know why so many people don't like 3D cutie marks either but I LOVE THEM.

It personally irritates me that people swap genders. I would never argue with them over it, because they're not my toys and that's just rude, but it bugs me all the same.

Do you mean when people just do it with their own ponies? I guess I do it sometimes, since I grew up with G3's and honestly I don't think I remember ANY boy ponies xD so as a kid I sort of assumed at least some of them were and genuinely though that certain ones were boys, so I never quite got out of the habit aha.. as a collecter that's a boy it's kind of just nice to think of a few as not being girls, makes them sort of more relatable I feel- not trying to take away from the original characters or anything!

I've noticed a lot of people have credit to someone on their signatures, other users I assume? Are there certain users who tend to make signatures for people? And for the people who make their own, how do you do it?  particularly the transparent background ones- photoshop? Is it possible to have animated signatures?
New to this if you can't tell xD
