I haven't enjoyed pony offerings since G3. I humored my husband and picked out Fluttershy for him to buy during the G4 times. I mean, if he HAD to get a G4, at least she was a pegasus and yellow. I loathe G5. They look like Steve Carell with those eyebrows.

I have a bum wingless Cool Breeze coming and I ordered a pair of wings from you the next day. I am really looking forward to getting them. They all look magnificent.

Finally cleaned and styled the G1 flutters from my original collection with their old school matte finish replacement wings. The wings were painted with iridescent glitter paint. All the ponies in the album are available and for sale, prices on captions on display side pics, and they're negotiable. All G1 are headed to Etsy if they don't sell here. kissthethunder, gorgeous hair on those! I started out re-collecting g1. I had over 1,000 ponies in my collection, including all the US mailorders except 3 (pearly babies...never finished them), and many Nirvanas.
I had to sell them when I got divorced years back, but I actually enjoy my newer cheap, large g3 collection more. I like the colors, the poses and the imagination they used. The playsets are ehh and you tend to lose pieces and break them easier (daughter tested them out, lol), but the ponies themselves are the sh*t.

Yeah...the Core 7 is when I quit, it also happened to come at a time when I was going through a divorce and was dead broke.
I haven't actively collected ponies since 2008, but my now-husband kept picking them up for me as gifts, so I've actually got a decent number of g4 ponies unintentionally, lol.
Why does Hasbro not see that the lack of variety is what keeps killing the line? It reminded me of the way Mattel started marketing Barbies. Same one over and over...with different outfits, and who wants to pay for just different accessories? G 3.5...UGH...just ugh.
That said, G3 became and remains my favorite line of MLP, but pre-Core 7. I like the big eyes, elfin ears, and glowy pearly bodies of the early G3.

I remember begging my Ma to get me the Blue Baby Ember. I wanted that pony so badly. I never did get any of the mailorder ponies until I was like 30...LOL. When the G3s came out I OD'd on the mailorders. 3 Dazzles, probably 4 or 5 Sunshimmers and countless Love Wishes. I also took advantage of the Hasbro shipping glitch and got 2 giant Frilly Frocks shipped to me for $1.50 shipping plus the hundreds of Dollar Tree coloring book pony points I'd hoarded.
I miss collecting.

I went to the fleamarket and schlepped around not really searching too hard for ponies. First, I see a table loaded with toys and this girl had a small basket of g3s...$1.00 each.
I bought 4 that I did not already have: Precious Gem, Lavender Lake, Wish I Might, and a Morning Monarch (I already have her in the box, this one was loose which to me was a bonus).
At another table there were cardboard boxes of various crap with a fakie sticking out (I always say where theres smoke, there's fire so I start digging like crazy) and sure as heck...fire...in Massachusetts, USA, there was a European G2 Royal twin baby...named appropriately, Flame. LOL. I paid .60 for her.
Am so thrilled to have more additions to my decimated collection.

I've got a few Blind Bag G4s for trade but I am looking to trade for a specific 2...I have Bumblesweet, Pepperdance, Lucky Swirl and would like to trade for Lemon Hearts and Sugar Grape. If someone has both I would trade all 3 of mine for them...I've got their bags, pamphlets and cards and they will come with them...anyone??? I've got g1s, g2s, g3s and a few g4 regular ponies I can trade as well if someone gives me a reasonable wantlist.
