Off Topic / Re: Does Anyone Here Use Swagbucks?« on: February 20, 2014, 06:36:55 AM »
I last used swag bucks several years ago, back before they had the daily goals. I think back then I got $15-$20 in amazon giftcards but I don't remember how much time that took. This thread got me to log back in again (I was bored, lol). Thanks for the advice about the daily goals.
I have been playing for a few days now and this is what I have to say about it, I won't participate in surveys or any offers. I won't download the toolbar.. I did that once back when I first started and it was terrible. I turned all e-mail notifications off so don't get those. I do print off coupons that I would use or be printing from coupons.com anyway (not sure about the payout though, since it's takes so long for points to be given). I do the poll, the NOSO (skip them all), periodically check for codes, a search here and there, and some activities that require watching a string of videos. I just let the videos play while I clean my room or something and plug the headphones in so I don't have to listen. Even though it's just 1 swag buck, I like the activity where you "explore" a link because I can close the ad window right away and it still gives me credit 30 seconds later. I don't actually have to sit there and stare at it lol. I am only meeting the first daily goal though. The second one is just WAY too much for me. So if I don't miss my daily goal for a month, maximum in amazon cards I would roughly earn should be about $15 a month. Now I am thinking I could make that working just 2 extra hours a month at a minimum wage job. I am probably going to stop here pretty soon. 5

Sorry if this is a repeat!
I was browsing coupons.com and found a printable coupon for $1.00 off 1 MLP Rainbow Friends pony. It's not a huge savings or anything but I thought I'd share. 6

TwilightOwl, I was thinking maybe $6.50 a set? That seems to be a rough average. Does anybody have any thoughts? 10

Hello! I first made wings like these for my (AWESOME) swap partner this past spring. It inspired me to use them on other stuff for etsy over the summer, but I finally got around to making some for my own ponies. I wanted to share!

These ones don't even have tabs anymore- the wire slides right down and holds into the second wave flutters, and I just bent it to fit the first wave flutters (the old foam tabs I used were a pain to get right!). It won't hold up to any play time.. but my girls are just for displaying anyway. Since I have this (and sadly possibly the next) semester off school, I was thinking about opening commissions if there is any interest? I know repro flutter wings are desired, but I don't know much about how the alternative wings are wanted. I gotta make some extras for the rest of the flutters I want to collect. Looking at those empty mechanisms made me so sad! 12

I never heard of Wildfire before, but it sounds cute! 14

Hehehe, I bought one for my little brother at Christmas a few years ago. He had tears in his eyes from laughing so hard.
There was a unicorn plush inside, but.. it was in "cuts" 15

I LOVE tarter sauce... and I don't eat seafood.
Horseradish and honey mustard are my other favorites. Mmmmm |
