'Storm Shadow' 'things with wings for Kaelynn PIC HEAVY!

So Storm Shadow has finally arrived for my wonderfully patient partner Kaelynn

Storm Shadow started out as a FS Pinkie pie. Kaelynn had quite a good list of choices but phoenix's jumped out at me and she had blue, purple and black listed as a favorite color combo so off I went.

These are my first ever set of wings (sculpted with apoxie) and I must thank PoD and Barbeddragon for their patience and help and never ending questions they helped to answer.

Her hair is hand blended mix of four colours: sour grapes, ultraviolet, bobby blue and brilliant black.

She gave me quite a few headaches along the way. A week before finishing her up, when I was sealing her she had some water marks that wouldnt go away so I had to strip her head paint back and start again but then the mod podge on her eyes smudged and I had to strip  her back completely.  I have to admit I cried. But I soldiered on but this time I redid the shape of her eyes and I am actually much happier with the effect. After the problem with the mod podge I ended up buying liquitex gloss varnish and sealed her eyes, wings and her mask to give her the lovely gloss she has

Yay there she is!  You did a marvelous job on her, she's just so gorgeous and the photos don't do her justice.  I love, love, love her and she makes me smile every time I look at her.

I'm sorry you had such a rough time with her eyes, but I think the second version actually suits her much more.

She was absolutely worth every second of the wait!

She's lovely!  Her wings are so nicely done.  I also agree that her re-done eyes really add a lot to the custom.  They give it a wise and mysterious expression.
