Decongestant medicine recommendations?
« on: May 13, 2014, 05:56:47 PM »
I caught a terrible cold from work the other day, all these people were coughing all over their money and even though I used my hand sanitizer constantly, here I am.  >_<

I really only want something to make it possible for me to breathe out my nose.

And brands you swear by, in the US?  :P

That's what I grabbed, it's like at least 30-40 minutes in and I'm tired as heck now but still congested. :'(

I have really good luck with the Alka-Seltzer Plus pills. I can't take anti-histomine though so I use the non-drowsy ones. It's called Severe Sinus Congestion & Cough and the box is red.

Vicks sinex nasal spray. Hours of relief, but you can't use for more than a few days. I find that decongestant pills don't work for me (I literally feel like I'm dying when I take them-it's horrible).

Feel better soon!

Mucinex has been my nose's savior this spring through a couple of colds. Breathing through TWO nostrils really is a blessing! The 1200 pills are a bit large but they last a full 12 hours & they do make a smaller 600 dose as well.
