Any Animal Crossing players here?

I love the GameCube one and I'm currently playing it to hold me over till New Leaf is released.  I've actually made myself sick with want for New Leaf.  Horrible, I know.

I've already decided that my name will be Sienna and my town will be called Delfino, as a reference to my favorite Mario game.  It's ordinance will be Beautiful Town.  If the island can be named like before, it will be called Pinna Island, another reference to Super Mario Sunshine.

I like the design on the special edition. If I hadn't bought a 3DS XL a few months ago I'd probably get it. It is so cute!

I too love the design of the new edition. But realistically, I really cannot afford to invest in one of those right now (not with the MLP fair coming up). I had gotten an XL when only red and blue were available, and got the blue one. Then shortly after, they released pink, which is my favorite color. I wish they'd release pink as a launch color.
I REALLY want a different one besides blue, though. Maybe someday.

I have it for gamecube but haven't played in a while. I love how the gamecube version comes with all sorts of unlockable original nintendo games. I usually play with action replay so I can get the games right away and go to my island on my own.

I'm so glad to find some AC fans on here! I fell in love with the original one on GameCube and have been hooked ever since. I haven't played my Wii one in a couple of months, so I'm sure my town is covered with weeds. My boyfriend also just bought me the Pikachu 3DS XL so I could get New Leaf which comes out next month. I'm so excited! We definitely have to exchange friend codes.

We're getting close to the release date! It's on Sunday! OMG I am so excited!

My friend went and pre-ordered it too. She also got a brand new pink 3DS XL. I am so jealous. My blue one is SO ugly!

On Sunday morning my friends and I are gonna hang out until Gamestop opens then go get our games together! Then I have to go home because I have to wake up at 5pm to go to work for 12 hours.    But I can look forward to playing my game all night. Yes, I get paid to play games at work. Fun times.

Anyone else getting soooo excited? I sure am!

Yes, I'm looking forward to it. The EB Games called me this afternoon about my pre-ordered copy, and how the guide will be available at a small discount.

My only (minor) issue is that the kids will want to watch me play. The 3DS isn't much for a community audience though.

The guide would be cool to have, but I don't have the money for it right now. Plus, I sort of like discovering all the new things for myself.

What is everyone playing to keep theirself busy until it comes out? I downloaded Harvest Moon GBC from the eshop and am also playing the DS game Sally's Salon which is oddly addictive.

I am soo excited that New Leaf is coming out in a day! Been itching to play a new Animal Crossing game. I have the Gamecube, DS, and Wii games, and was also dissapoonted at how City Folk was basically " Wild World + city that was more like a cul-de-sac". Still, i had too much fun playing with friends and visiting other towns. 
I plan to get it at Best Buy on Sunday, since I found out I have $15 in store credit from ther Reward Zone program a few hours ago. And likely will be playing it all day (and night), lol. If I didnt already have a 3DS (midnight Purple color), I would have gone for the Animal Crossing one.

Pretty sure I'll name my town "Pallet" and (if possible, unless only one person can play it) have a second "player"/human villager named "Ash". ;D

I'm going out to get it first thing tomorrow morning. Right now I'm brainstorming town names and looking up QR codes for cute outfits and such. So excited!
