Pony Corral / Re: How to clean Sweet Talkin‘ Ponies
« on: Today at 09:29:53 AM »
I have owned & cleaned one. I would clean with soap and water and a toothbrush, but without submerging. Maybe do take out the batteries, yes. (I don't think I did, at least I can't recall doing so... but she also didn't work)
honestly, I never dunk my ponies, I'm anxious about trapping water inside. (but then again, I also don't pop the head off unless it has signs that it's needed.) I just give them a good wash under running water, trying to avoid the mane & tail holes. I also hold the pony so the hair hangs straight out from them when I wash the hair. ^^'

Customs / Re: New Resources?

Good idea BC!

For YouTube:
I think a lot of the popular custom pony videos on youtube are from the g4 era of customizers using nail polish for their FBRs, and even if the finished results look real nice, I would be hesitant to linking tutorials etc that uses that medium.
but we have RetroGeek Crafts doing restoration work (alt rehairs sometimes) and some customs - I haven't looked though, but with the restoration work in mind, I doubt they use nail polish.
I do have a craft channel, and have been thinking about dedicating some videos to Pony at some point. I haven't yet though. If you want, when and if I have a playlist for that, I can link it :)

Ponies that look like a cross between G2 and G3.  They should all come with download codes so that you can download stickers/background pieces  for playsets.  They could also come with download codes for 3-printed accessories or playsets.  Give the consumers more access to DIY licensing - files to use in their Cricut machine, files for sewing machine embroidery, plushie patterns, etc.

I love this idea a lot!!

Off Topic / Re: Making a Swedish Forum
« on: May 22, 2024, 01:12:17 AM »
This is simply not true, all we asked is that it doesn't have the same name.
like I told you, you're very welcome to open a new forum, and I think the Swedish community would be happy to have a non-facebook place to chat.
I am very sorry this upset you, but I think it is reasonable for the owner and admin to ask for her forum name, and personal art not to be reused, and I also think it is reasonable to simultaneously move on in life to new things.

Again, I am sorry. But I also want to reiterate that nowhere have we said that you cannot open a new forum.

Princess Celestia, you can still make forums for free.
A lot of the art was made by Annie and Brainshake,
Brainshake and me were admins at the end of Druvdalen - if you want I can talk to her to talk about it, as she was more of the forum owner and I personally feel like it would be nice to at least have a chat about it :)
You could also ask for opinions in the swedish facebook group. There are a lot of us that miss Druvis, but chances are it won't come back to life just because it's back online, unfortunately.

BC - I know builders like Squarespace have drag and drop features. There's always some youtuber who has a deal on it, but I haven't looked into how expensive it is to run once that offer runs out. Best of luck with it.

One of my favourite toylines (Cloudees) are blindbox only, but very easy to cheat. What I didn't like was how hard some characters were to find - I am still missing a bunch, unfortunately.
I don't really care for blindbag/box otherwise. I would like to get the sylvanian babies ones, but I don't know how easy those are to cheat (tbf, I haven't looked into them, because I haven't found them anywhere). I would also get into mixlings, but they're very expensive here.

« on: May 03, 2024, 12:51:11 PM »
thanks BC! Idk, maybe this is one of those things where I'm like 'doesn't it have to be a special occasion?' but lighting one while working is a great idea. I mostly work at my desk all day. The Orange is around a lot up until noon, then he has his afternoon nap, so maybe I should start lighting one once he's gone. Cozy!

This thread has gone under my radar o:
I like candles, but I feel like I don't *know* how/when/etc to use them xD like I know how to light a candle, to let it melt to the sides the first time and such, but I don't know *when* to candle? I have a small collection of scented candles next to my work space, that I will sometimes take the lid off to sniff, but yeah. I have a giant Caramel Swirl Yankee Candle that I love the smell of. I would also love to get some strawberry scented stuff, but I am holding off since I just never... burn them.
What do you guys do with them? When do you burn the candles? Someone teach me how to be into candles please, lol.

We also have two cats, one of which is Orange and will get into everything so we often use battery candles. I am also awfully scatterbrained and scared I'll forget I'm burning a candle -.-'

Off Topic / Re: Slice of Life - What are you up to today?
« on: April 26, 2024, 02:03:13 AM »
Today, I am running some errands (and vlogging) - I need to pick up some felt and yarn - sorting out a thumbnail for another vlog (going live today - I'm disorganized as always lol!), and filming for a crochet tutorial. :frolic: I need to finish my coffee and get going for the bus ^^'
My channel is still really small (2.7k) but it's been a crazy week on the channel, and I've gotten nearly 400 subs in the last week so I'm very hyped up right now. :yikes: :frolic:

I love notebooks, but I know your dilemma of running out of space/not knowing how many pages to save before starting a new section etc.

How about a binder with index tabs? That way you'd have an index at the start, and you can move pages, add pages and sections, remove stuff you don't like etc. hat's what I would do, probably :)

eta: and if you're worried about writing an index in case you have to move things, I would suggest writing on washi tape (which is removable) or laminating the index page and writing with marker you can wipe off!  :art:

I am a sucker for the so soft ponies, plus I love the pose, so my vote is for Bangles :lovey: Both are lovely, though!

Yeah that definitely looks like plaster.
I've found a mommy charm in a swedish charity shop before, so I wouldn't say it's impossible for someone to have gotten a charm and replicated it. There were also plaster mould trays, but idk if there were any pony ones. I've done a lot of those as a kid. These don't have flat backs, do they?
