So I never do this, and probably won't again, but I was curious to try my hand at mimicking the original Mimic. (no pun intended there :p)

Overall, I'm very pleased at how she turned out! Up close, its easy to tell she's a custom, as she was given a FBR, but in mild light she's very beautiful. In order to make the eyes as genuine as possible, I cut holes in the bait and pushed the rhinestone through from the inside of the head, adhesively securing it on the inside. Hair is the customary Electric Banana, Envy, Pussycat, and Sugarberry. She was sealed with polyurethane varnish to protect the paint. For copyright reasons, this custom pony will not be sold or repeated for anyone. This pony is intended as an homage to the original Hasbro design.
