A Method of Mixing Hair Colors?
« on: January 26, 2012, 04:12:19 PM »
Is there a preferred/easy method for mixing different colors of Dollyhair to make a color blend?  I've got some left over Black Magick and Forget Me Not I was thinking of mixing together for a new project.  This is my inspiration:

i generally just alternate/mix as i go. its less messy than trying to blend the hair before you start re-rooting

Good idea, but I'm waaaaay to cheap to do that. ;)

That makes sense.  I was trying to test mix with the large chunks I had left over from my last custom but it ended up more streaky than mix-y.

take small groups of hair in different colors and stack them together, then brush. then roll it around in your fingers to mix it a bit then brush again. repeat until desired blend.
hope this helps.

If you're using a reroot tool, it's super easy to mix as you rehair.  I usually just grab a little of each color (enough to make one normal sized plug) and put them together in the same hole.  I've also rehaired with one color, and came back and added the second color where I thought it needed it.
