Hi all! I want to try something new and I think it could be a lot of fun. I used to run an exchange community much like this, and thought it'd be really fun to do here at the Arena; plus, you get to give AND receive artwork!
The Avatar Exchange!
Basically, this works much like the ATC swap, with the exception of mailing - whether your artwork is traditional or digital, it will all be delivered here! Each round you'll get a secret partner (who you will keep secret until you reveal the avatar) and will have three weeks to deliver an avatar based on your partner's form.
Guidelines:
-You should deliver two versions of your icon: a 150x150 version for use here at the Arena (under 60k, please) and a larger, un-cropped version. If you do pixel ponies, the second can be waived as a larger version may not exist.
-If you have a current adoptable, please do not use the lines from it to complete this trade. On that note, you should only use original (by you) artwork only, please.
-Please deliver on time. If you have not delivered on time for the round, your ability to participate in future exchanges will be suspended until you make up your part.
-Artwork should abide by Arena standards of content, of course. ;)
-Please don't use DeviantArt to link to reference pictures or host your final avatar. Sometimes DA messes up and you can't view the image. Try a free service somewhere instead, please.
-Your sign-up post should contain the word doppelganger somewhere in order to signify to me that you've read the rules.
-Do not reveal your partner before you're done! If you have any questions, please message me and I can PM your partner.

What are your specialities?
I do both digital and traditional and I guess my style's sort of semirealistic/cartoony, mostly ponies or horses (I love doing portaits/head shots), I can do anthros or humans too. However I don't do pixels, animation or vectors, but apart from that I'm open for suggestions. ;)
Brief Character Description:
Now... To choose a character... Well, my dear old Sirithfin is in my sig. She's an ear tufted, fuzzy hooved kind of unicorn. She's a pinkish lavender sort of colour, black hair with a turqouise streak, a black and white striped star on her bum with golden swirls going down her leg. She's quite silly and loves working with her... hooves? You know what I mean... She doesn't do magic. At least not on purpose. Loves animals. And trees.

What are your specialities? Traditional and digital art, can do basic animations for GIFs.
Brief Character Description: Homeward is a black-and-white Earth pony with a paint pattern and auburn hair with blonde streaks. She has grey eyes and a blue swallow as her symbol, and a bald pattern face. She wears cord necklaces with random objects hanging from it like shells and feathers. She's not incredibly feminine.

I think my ponies can be categorized as cartoon-y. I usually go for traditional media, but I can do digital too. Depends on what I'm drawing.
Brief Character Description: Vessa is a yellow unicorn with blue socks, blaze, and spots. Her hair is green and she wears a pink bow in her tail. She is silly and happy and likes to be outside and loves animals. No magical powers to speak of.

Will it be a random pairing or something by skill. I've done some adoptables in the past but I am not the most skilled person in the world. I would hate for my doppleganger to get something that was way less professional than theirs. ;)

What are your specialities?: I can draw any gen of pony, anthro, people, animals... I just don't like drawing cars or buildings, manmade things like Transformers/mecha also. I prefer drawing cartoony/anime/comic book style. Digital only, all my art supplies are at home.
Brief Character Description: Finale is mischievous. Likes to cause trouble with ponies he dislikes--but they are only pranks, he never goes far enough to hurt another pony. Well-read, with a sense of humor not many other ponies understand (or enjoy). Loves music, and attempts to play instruments on occasion.

I will try to go by skill as much as I possibly can, but that is dependent on how many people sign up and whose artwork I've seen and whose I haven't, etc. If I have less than ten, I'll most likely be more random with pairings.

My scanner tried to sabotage mine, thank goodness for photoshop. Took me forever to fill back in some of the colors that my stupid scanner decided didn't belong. :silly: But I'm pleased with how it turned out.

Hooray, it's the 4th! :cheer: Here's my avi for Sirithfin!!! It's the first time I've ever drawn a braid (or a headband) on a pony, but I really liked how they turned out. Hope you like her!
