Asking the stores whether they will be ordering the Funko ponies is a great idea- because it means that Funko will be able to make more of them- 

it's sometimes hard to get a reply from stores, and I only know of 3 that carry any funko I think? *fingers crossed*

The shipping price mostly has to do with insurance. ebay sellers can do about $15 cheapest (but scalp for $30 or u watch the auction skyrocket anyway), Hot Topic does $30+ insured.
I just wish they would tell us if they would be available in Aussie stores! There's several here that carry Funko items and I'd rather buy these in person or at least online from an AU store so the shipping wasn't too painful. Of course emailing the stores usually gets nada info too

You should try speaking to Funko via facebook or twitter - they are a really social media friendly company and putting a simple question like whether they know if the lines are being taken on by any retailers in Aus may be something they can tell you.

Already did just last night lol, Funko replied and told me to contact stores that carry Funko and ask them if they will be ordering the ponies... which I had already done, just waiting for a reply from them too.  *twitch*

It sounds like at the moment they dont have anyone planning to carry them for certain but hopefully that will change - they are new enough that they could only be becoming available in Funko stock lists in the next few months.

But when a store hears requests (particularly multiple requests)  for a certain product- they might consider ordering some to carry (I am sure that is what Funko was hoping)

Don't care about the Dr., but FLUTTERSHY! OMGS. Her, and Luna...I would kill for a Luna figure, but I'd want it to look like her, and she has a different body type from the others... Still Fluttershy is my fav of the mane six, can't wait!! I want Twilight too! Ohmygosh I hope Applejack has her hat...wheeee so excited! (hoping they make the others I mean)

So cool to see more of these - and Fluttershy, yay!   I'm really not a fan of crossover stuff between unrelated TV shows so Dr. (W)Hooves has never been a favorite of mine, but I'm excited to see them make a boy all the same.  I do like brown ponies though, so I guess I'll see!  I definitely agree with everyone else who has said that one main 6 + one background pony release pattern that seems to be appearing is a great idea.

All I'll say is that I hope Fluttershy gets her own mold for once instead of another RD recolor. As for the Dr. I'll probably pick him up as well. But I'm fairly indifferent to him as a character since I'm not big on the tv show he represents. Also, I wish they would give a release date for these instead of just suddenly having them appear.

Also Has anyone yet heard if the first two are going to get restocked ever? I managed to pick up the pair for myself but I've heard rumors that it's gone permanently out of stock, mostly from worried fans that missed out. Personally I'd be shocked if it was limited release. For one they never said it was, that I know of, and You'd think with how fast the comic con Pony sold out they'd market the heck out of this one. As it is she's selling for an insane amount on Ebay. Selling for up to $50 alone and $70 for the pair seems to be the average.

Also, way off topic, but for those looking I've been keeping an eye on the comic con Pony on ebay and the prices have dropped back down to around $100 bucks. It seems  the influx of the cheaper priced Hot Topic Pony sated those fans that wanted a toy of her and she's steadily floating back down in price.  So anyone still looking, now is probably the time to buy.

Having a thought...Funko also make plush characters I have all their Disney Princesses - I wonder if they will perhaps make MLP plush in the future?

I think Trixie, DJ-Pon, and Octavia are the most likely background characters to appear!  Lyra and Big Mac maybe- but they seem to appear less often on these sites...

I have been waiting for an Octavia...  well, anything.  I realized that a brushable may not happen because she's a gray pony with dark gray hair, and she probably wouldn't appeal to the five-year-old-girl market.  So getting a vinyl from Hot Topic would be nice...  Hopefully we'll someday get a blindbag of her, too.

Octavia's my favorite pony.     I really hope they make her.

I'd love to see one of Rarity, too. She's my favorite FiM pony, but she doesn't get as much love compared to the others.
