I've never met another pony collector in real life. I've been too nervous to attend pony meets, even ones very close to me. I feel I don't fit in.
Well, watching facebook marketplace, I found a local ad very close to me last week. What was exciting, is it had several UK/Euro releases. I'm thinking if someone has these ponies not found in the U.S., maybe they are a real collector. I thought it neat that someone was so close to me.
I ended up not purchasing any of the ponies due to costs and flaws.
Now here comes the crazy part.
Today at work, a lady drops off a stool sample for analysis (I work at an animal hospital). After she's left, I'm looking at her chart. I think this name looks familiar. I check facebook. Guys, its the pony seller from facebook! I just met another collector and didn't even know it.
What are the odds you would run into someone in real life you met online just a few days earlier.

Well, that sounds like a CRAPPY way to start a friendship...sorry, couldn't resist! :lmao: :haha:
That would be kind of cool to have another pony collector that lived nearby...but I suppose it also means you'd have competition for any local sales that happen in your area!

I was in line at the pharmacy once and the lady in front of me had a G1 tattoo on her leg. I wanted to talk to her but my anxiety kept me from saying anything. I was so mad at myself :( I decided if I ever saw her again I'd just go for it, but it's been years and no tattoos.
