I'm in your boat, I really want to have Adagio to complete the set, and I do like the Dazzlings quite a bit. Maybe if we're lucky there'll be another release, either of the same doll or if we're very fortunate, the Dazzlings will get released again in a later wave of toys. *shrugs* We can hope.

I would be surprised if they get another release, unless they pop up in the third movie for some reason. I definitely wonder what they're going to do with their power stripped.

By the way, I've always been curious, since the Adagio doll is supposed to sing, what does she sing? I'm assuming it's not the same thing Twilight and Pinkie sing. LOL.

She's actually quite nice sounding :)
"I'm excited by the beat..
clappin' your hands stompin' your feet."

"You didn't know that you fell....whooohaooo"

"whoaaahhooo....whooaahooaa...you didn't know that you fell."

"Whooaaahooaaaa, whohohoaaaa...but now you're under my spell"

She sounds very 80's :)

*Blindsided by the beat...

I love the song, but I would have preferred it if Kazumi Evans voiced the doll.

That's good that they chose snippets of her group's songs for her to sing!

Yeah, I've always wondered why the actual voice actors never seem to voice talking toys. I wondered if it was a royalty issue....

Perhaps more expense. If thevspeaking and singing of the character feature 2 different individuals then that us 2vpeople to pay, or sets of people. Though obviously I don't know who records the speaking side so it might be some other issue. I would just go with cost.

Yeah, a royalty issue would be about cost. Like, then the voice actor would get paid an amount for every doll sold, if they recorded the singing. That could get awfully pricey.

She was all over on this side of the pond for a while and as Taffeta says went on discount. Unfortunately her timing was such that she could still have got a bigger US release so no one really realised how hard to find she was going to be moving forward.

She is still available from third party sellers on Amazon. And she is mostly at the price or a little higher than we would have paid for her in US stores.

These dolls will eventually show up on the second hand market. If I was you, I would get the dolls at the good price you really like and just keep an eye out for Adaggio she will pop up eventually. Or argue to yourself that the money you are saving on the 2 dolls, is sufficient that you can pay UK to US shipping for Adaggio.
The only problem is second hand dolls are frequently naked.

Current finds do have this issue, yes. They are normally the straight out the hands of the kids and on to ebay kind of releases. But as we can see with any collectible, there are kids who take care of toys and adults who collect - a lot of those will eventually make their way to market as well. The sales forums here already have people selling G4 ponies and the occasional EQG doll - there will just be more of that as time moves forward.
