I LOVE making beef quarter pounders (well, 'make', they're frozen I just cook them) but MAN do they STINK and the amount of grease that comes out of them into the grill pan ... every single time I need to deep scrub the cooking utensils and pan after making them.

Talk of blood draws under the cut for people who don't like to read medical things

Spoiler
I gave blood and when trying to get samples from my fingertip, they squeezed pretty hard twice (as the first reading was low). They eventually went to an arm test which showed far better results, but they had to take from the arm that doesn't normally have blood drawn (it can't be the same arm I usually donate/get samples from) so the veins decided to all hide and it took TWO nurses to find one. My middle finger is REALLY tender now and I KEEP forgetting about it and hurting myself when I grab things, and my poor right arm has a nasty needle-bruise.

(My left arm was easy peasy to get a vein, but it also meant for the rest of the day I couldn't carry heavy things)

Absolutely not $100 unless tracked and signed for above a certain value! I'm UK or I would help!

I really liked Deuce as a character; he was chilled and laid back compared to the obnoxious Heath and easily excitable Clawd. I got the feeling that Clawd was meant to kinda take over as the 'cool' one (being Clawdeen's older brother) but Deuce is just so endlessly chill it's hysterical. His perpetual bemusement at what Heath and Clawd were up to in 13 Wishes gave me more than a few chuckles, and his relaxed attitude plays really well with Cleo's diva nature. I liked that he didn't get drawn into the suspicion of cheating or Cleo's jealousy; he just point blank explained what was going on when confronted about it and never had any intention of going down that path.

I didn't like any of the boy dolls, but that's not really a reflection on them, I like more than a few male G1 characters like Neightan, the hilariously hammy Valentine, Deuce, Jackson (Holt is A Bit Much) and Sparky, so I can't say it's just a case I didn't like the male characters. The most 'successful' male doll would probably either be Deuce or Slow Mo, Ghoulia's boo.

G2 seemed to have a weird edginess about male dolls, I can't even name any off the top of my head. I think aiming towards a younger demo than the original G1 group means that dating and boys are slightly less on the list of priorities as the ghouls aren't TEENAGER teenagers like they were in G1. I would riot if they paired Cleo with anyone else though, but that's my G1 bias showing again  I hated the Abbey/Heath pairing, I didn't mind Frankie having multiple potential interests, and I was glad Clawdeen didn't seem to have one that stuck since I like strong female characters without any sort of love interest. Gil and Lagoona's drama got really annoying towards the end, even if it was slightly understandable to start with. Clawd and Draculara I REALLY didn't like simply because 2D Clawd looked WAY WAY older than 2D Lala and that freaked me the hell out

On Lenore: I LOVE her eye colour, I love the touches of pink against the blue tones. Overall she's not for me, but I am a sucker for shocking pink standing out on a character, i.e. against the black of Catty Noir! The spider looks GREAT, FAR more in line with G1 MH than the more recent pets. Gotta imagine she sets fire to the undergrowth lol maybe the candles draw moths to her web. I think there's something slightly missing, I can picture how she'd be animated in G1 and she'd fit right in in the Haunted movie. If they wanted to introduce her, I can't see why not re-introduce the specialist ghost school and have her be part of it.

For the little figures, I think the slime part is hysterical, it's never been part of MH and looks fun. But it's also an indication this gen really is geared towards a slightly younger audience than G1. Cleo's blue hair continues to bother me, I NEED to know how Nefera is supposed to look outside that little cameo picture on the coffin phone, blue hair is her sig look! Are they going to make her hair totally gold to offset it?

BlackCurtains, maybe it's available in the US? Ultradex is the name and it's usually in supermarkets and pharmacists here. I never looked at it before but it came up when I seared for flavourless mouthwash! For toothpaste, I use Oranurse, and of you have a bad gag reflex or cannot easily get to floss your back teeth, I cannot recommend Wisdom Easy Flosser enough! My gag reflex is so hair trigger and I easily throw up when it's tripped, so these have been great.

Today I had a LONG sleep thank goodness, I went to the store and did some big chores. It's really sunny, and I'm packing up more collectables. Just about to unbox my Mermaze Slumber Party dolls!

(When I removed the shipping label from the box that brought me my Limited Edition Kotobukiya Felicia statue I gave myself a papercut DX)

I just tried a new flavourless mouthwash (I already have a flavourless toothpaste) that you can add a sachet of mint flavouring to if you want. My brain was going '... can we use it without the sachet???' for some reason I thought maybe I can't? I don't know, my brain was being odd with it.

It's very strange, it's like rinsing your mouth with water. I know that's what I kinda wanted, but the sensation is still strange. My toothpaste is the same, it's designed for those with sensory issues so it doesn't have mint and it doesn't foam. I got it as I'm allergic to an ingredient in toothpastes and it makes the mint flavouring WAY more intense, like my mouth is being napalmed with mint  The flavourless was fine, but the lack of foam is VERY VERY WEIRD! It's almost like I'm standing there thinking 'is this even working???'. Don't worry, I somehow still managed to get toothpaste flecks on my pyjama top  :pout:

Tesco was named after a combination fo the founder (Jack Cohen) and his main supplier at the time, so TES from that supplier and CO from Cohen. Some of the own-brand Tesco stuff is under this original supplier name, it's escaping me at the moment and I'm too proud to look it up. Sainsbury was deffo named after its founder, same with Boots and Wilkinsons.

The last Toymaster I ever saw was almost 20 years ago in a specific city, I'm not sure it's still there but it might be. TRU and other toy shops really piledrove it into the ground. The Entertainer is so weird; they never stocked MH and I think someone on MH arena said it was because someone at head office thought they were demonic? Or maybe too risqué? But they have other franchises in there that are just as dark?? It's a weird mix of toys compared to Smyths or Hamleys. They do seem to change stuff over late compared to Smyths, which is apparently really taking up TRU's mantle. My local Smyths rearranged their displays (which was confusing as I was looking for the Schleich figures after I had done my pick-up of Pokémon POP!s and notice the FNAF display was thin).

Coming back to Tesco, their pony section was small for G5 but it's worth noting that their Rainbow High selecton was also weirdly small as well

[off topic but I adore the names of stores in the UK, they just are... cute!  no offense meant!]

Loooool, Boots is a chemist (pharmacy) for the most part but does have some toys, mostly around Christmas.

Menzies ... there is a name I haven't heard in a long, long time ... they're long dead as a shop, only the distribution arm exists. WH Smith filled the niche they left, but more expensive and worse in my opinion.

I see SOME ponies in the major supermarkets like Tesco and Asda, Smyths I'm usually distracted looking for POP!s, Pokemon, FNAF or MH so I can't tell you how big the section is but not very large, certainly smaller than the shelf space given to LOL (how is this line still going???? HOW???????). I've not been to The Entertainer for a while, I'll have a look next time I'm there. Not much in B&Ms either.

I really want to make a spreadsheet with data and a calculator for my online game that's diffferent to the one I already made that simply tallies my men (i.e. I want one that also does calculations for how much raw material of different tiers I will need to get a specific tier) but for the troops one I don't know what format I want DX Plus I'm working with Open Office and not Excel which is more annoying

Oh my Ra, I'm happy that there was no damage to yourself physically, but man does that suck so much! If you can, maybe get your GP to check you out for whiplash or concussion, just to be safe.

Two trivial ones for me, mostly eBay stuff: I HATE when people list things as completely the wrong character, it really angers me when someone labels a common character as a rare character. ESPECIALLY when they show promo material that TELLS you who the character is!!! I want to shop for the rare character and you're claiming this character is them, despite being a) young, b) totally different colours, and c) different gender!! Ugh I wish more people were fandom savvy but that's a lot to ask for

Second: I hate listings that have multiple items, and most of the items are out of stock. I was looking for wax seal sticks with wicks in them, and the lowest listed priced ones had a bunch of colours. Oh, awesome, I can get the colour I need and pick up a few other colours too! Nope, out of the 20+ colours listed, they have like 3 colours in stock  Sometimes I have to go through 3-6 listings to find one that has the colour I need IN STOCK! And yes, I could search purple wax stick, and those out of stock listings still show up!

Jinafire just doesn't look like Jinafire. Her ears look tacked on, fake, or dipped in gold and therefore useless for hearing.

Venus looks better, even if I do miss her unique overlapping fangs (plenty ghouls have fangs over their bottom lip, Abbey is unique in having tusks curving over her top lip like inverse fangs, and Venus had overlapping fangs on her upper and lower lip)

Birdseye Chicken Popstars are in the oven, I've been bad and not made dinner for the past couple of days because I've just been so tired after work, I really need to have a proper dinner tonight.

I think Jinafire was a pun on Jennifer, combining the common name Jin with, well, fire although fire is more a Western dragon thing.

This poor ghoul is getting called Greta, the fandom has decided  :P
