Similarities between generations

Its kind of inevitable...with the same target market of little girls, the need to stick to a similar colour palette and the thousands of different "unique" ponies produced similarly in some places was pretty guaranteed!

I am now calling Pony/Ditzy Bubblecup...I like the G1 inference from her symbols and the colour from G3

  Oh so thats who she is! You see I recently found my old Bubble cup and I kept thinking she looked like Dizy but figured I was the only person who though so since every one I asked and showed the photo of dizy and my bubblecup to saw no resblelence at all! Bubble cup such a cute sweet name. though I'm not a dizy fan as a kid I did love my bubble cup and I think dizy's new name should be bubble cup. It is very sweet and pony like and at the moment not offensvie at the least.

I'd love it if they rebranded Pony as Bubblecup, it's a cute name. I can imagine a lot people kicking up a stink about it though... 9_9



In my head Ice Crystal and Lyra are related.

Sky Skimmer and Fluttershy.  Fluttershy may have been derived from Posey, but her symbol matches Sky Skimmer's as well as her color.  It actually seems more likely that G4 Fluttershy was a G2 shout-out.

Then there's Celestia looking like a G2 with her rounded head, slim body, and long legs.

Otherwise, there's G1 Twilight and G3 Savannah Sage.  And G1 Bow Tie and G3 Dream Blue/Blue Mist.
