2: There's a new line of fakies in town! Not only do they have cutie marks, but some of their cutie marks actually appear to be original. The paint jobs looks great (albeit probably using the glossier paint). There's a variety of molds, and some rather interesting eye designs. Just look at this beauty:

I think they are real. I've got an order coming with most of these in it from one of my fave China suppliers on eBay. I, for myself, am aiming at some of the less common male variation errors so I'm getting the Pinkbody, Greenbody, Whitebody, and Blackbody while skipping the Blue, Red, and Yellow.

I just got in a representative sample of the newest line: 2x Fluttershy, 1x Rarity, 1x Rainbow Dash, and 1x Twilight. They're actually quite different from anything we've seen before! The paint jobs are nearly perfect--no smudges of tail paint on the body or the like--and they get away with this, as you might have guessed from the multicolored manes, by breaking each figure into a series of smaller pieces and then plugging them all together. So for a Rainbow Dash, there are five separate pieces: the main body, the head, the tail, the front half of the mane, and the back half of the mane. The only downside is there's a bit of a visible chasm between the head and the mane, particularly on Twilight and Fluttershy, but otherwise, it makes a lot of sense. I mean, if you look at the part of the tail between Rainbow Dash's rear legs, it's tail-colored, not body-colored! That never happens.

Other than that... one of the Fluttershy figs has a slight scrape on one of her eye decals, but you see that kind of thing on the real toys too. Otherwise the eyes and cutie marks all look perfect. The hooves are perfectly smooth, no holes or logos or anything. They look to be the same size as the real toys or maybe very slightly larger.

I've picked up rather a few. Didn't get any of the Mrs. Dazzle Cake or Nurse Redheart recolors, unfortunately, but all the other molds seem to be covered in at least one outlandish color combo. The newest bunch I have there, with the griffon and the zebra and the wonderbolt and the center Pinkie and some others, have the glossy paint and blank hooves (i.e. they're not using the official molds).

Wow- I like those bigger fakies!  I actually just received a small order of the pink zebras- they are so crazy I couldn't resist!  I would have nabbed the bigger ones if I'd seen 'em
