I call skyflier kite... I didnt actually realize I did it still until a friend called me on it ; ) I guess she will always be kite to me as thats what I have called here since I was a kid.

Haha it doesn't have to just be kids! My parents can't pronounce my cats name. He's Kohaku (pronounced 'koe - HA - koo), named after the boy from the movie Spirited Away. My parents call him 'koo koo'

My mom could never pronounce anything Japanese either, even though its the easiest language as far as pronunciations. When I was younger I remember trying to get her to pronounce poke-i-mon and it always came out of her mouth as poke-e-man. There's no "a".
