Maybe your postal workers were confused and meant that they were abolishing being able to purchase First Class International online--not abolishing it completely?

I mailed a first class int. package this week and they didn't say anything to me about doing away with it.

I know I haven't been able to print first class online from my paypal in a month but I have had no problem doing it from USPS.com. I know that if we can no longer do it online then I will no longer be selling overseas :(

yesterday it would not let me do it from usps.com.   i tried   from paypal, i tried  from usps.com

sorry if this was confusing.   i asked my mail person agian today.   she   said it was going away online.  but for some reason  MY town is no longer  doing it at he post office as well.

sorry for the confusion.i just diditn wnat anyone else inmy postion where they HAD to purchase prioty. i guess this is what happens from living in a small town.

No problem.   It's better to know that it's going away online and in smaller towns than be surprised by what will likely be a quick "Hey, things have kinda changed..." on the eve of whenever changes are formalized.
Creatively cute and proud of it!  Have a very good day, [you]!  ^.^

I didn't realize that individual post offices could refuse to offer certain services. That doesn't seem fair :\

Yeah, one would think things would be uniform with such a government business, but I can think of a couple of differences between the post office in the town I live in and the one in the town I work in. For example, if I'm sending out a bulk mailing (like our quarterly newsletters from work), I can't submit them at the post office where I live as they don't have the necessary materials to process them. Also, I always thought things like hours of operation were uniform, but where I live they recently cut hours to 1:00-5:00pm on weekdays and 10:00am-12:00pm on Saturdays.

Yeah, I've always known hours were different, but literally not selling a certain class of postage? That really doesn't seem right. Sorry for anyone who's losing that option all together :\
